Xi Jinping’s Important Discussion On Targeted Poverty Alleviation

Poverty is a worldwide problem,and its eradication is a global problem facing all mankind.Since the founding of new China,the COMMUNIST Party of China(CPC)has led the people in eradicating poverty,reducing the number of poor people and improving people’s living standards.Although some achievements have been made,the poverty problem has not been completely solved.By 2012,the poverty problem still exists in China.At the 18 th CPC National Congress,the CPC Central Committee issued an important program to guide poverty alleviation,gradually forming Xi Jinping’s important discourse on targeted poverty alleviation.Through continuous efforts,China announced at the end of 2020 that it had completed the historic task of eliminating absolute poverty,marking a new chapter in the history of human anti-poverty and a victory in the application of China’s anti-poverty theory into practice.But solving the problem of absolute poverty does not mean the end of the anti-poverty task,nor does it mean that poverty will not recur.The article is divided into five parts: The first part is the introduction,mainly introduces the research background,domestic and foreign research status,research significance and methods;The fourth part studies a series of measures taken by China in the post-poverty alleviation era of building a well-off society in an all-round way,including continuing the implementation of rural revitalization strategy and improving anti-poverty security system.The fifth part analyzes the theoretical and practical significance of Xi Jinping’s important discussion on targeted poverty alleviation,which has a profound impact on the cause of poverty alleviation in China and even the world.
