Research On The Development Of Corn Processing Industry In Gongzhuling City Of Jilin Province

Corn is one of the three major food crops in the world.It has a wide range of uses,large processing space and long industrial chain.It plays an important role in China’s food security strategy.The development of corn processing industry can promote the optimization and upgrading of agricultural structure,stimulate the economic vitality of rural areas,increase farmers’ income and promote the realization of Rural Revitalization Strategy.In recent years,Gongzhuling City has attached great importance to the development of corn processing industry,introduced a number of corn processing enterprises with good development prospects through investment attraction,promoted the construction of relevant industrial parks,and guided corn processing enterprises to develop in the direction of large-scale operation and intensive processing.However,from the actual development of Gongzhuling corn processing industry,its overall development still needs to be improved,which is manifested in the lack of branded leading enterprises,weak intensive processing capacity and short industrial chain.Therefore,based on the study of the current situation and problems of the development of corn industry in Gongzhuling City,and based on the theory of comparative advantage and competitive advantage,this paper discusses the influencing factors affecting the development of corn processing industry in Gongzhuling City,so as to take feasible measures to promote the improvement of the development level of corn processing industry in Gongzhuling City and the countermeasures and suggestions for sustainable development.Based on the field investigation,this paper constructs the analytic hierarchy process model of the influencing factors of the competitiveness of Gongzhuling corn processing industry.The results show that the advantages of the development of Gongzhuling corn processing industry lie in rich natural resources and sufficient labor force,and the disadvantages lie in the low added value of products and insufficient investment in technological innovation.According to the weight assignment results of the influencing factors of Gongzhuling corn processing industry competitiveness,enterprise behavior,government behavior and industrial organization are the main influencing factors of Gongzhuling corn processing industry competitiveness at the current stage.Among the enterprise behavior factors,the technological innovation ability is not strong,the R & D ability of high value-added products is insufficient,and the business scale is small,The industry management in the factors of government behavior is not standardized,and the guiding policies and supporting measures are not perfect;The insufficient number and scale of leading enterprises in industrial organization factors,the lagging development of industrial parks and the lack of influential corn processing industry associations are the main factors restricting the improvement of the competitiveness of corn processing industry in Gongzhuling City.Therefore,this paper holds that corn processing enterprises should strengthen technological research and development,pay attention to the development of high value-added products,and appropriately implement large-scale management;Relevant government departments should improve policies and measures to support the development of corn processing industry,actively carry out investment attraction of corn processing enterprises,and coordinate the development of corn processing enterprises of different sizes;At the same time,we should promote the construction of corn processing park and do a good job in the development of corn processing industry association.
