Research On Social Responsibility Of State-owned Commercial Banks

China is in the "new normal" period of economic transformation.As a special public enterprise,while strengthening the profitability of state-owned commercial banks and giving full play to their financial leverage,the social responsibility of commercial banks has also been given a broader and brand-new connotation.At present,the Chinese government has led to "actively practice social responsibility and be an excellent corporate citizen".The social responsibility report issued by commercial banks every year has also become a beautiful scenic spot for the development of corporate social responsibility.At present,there are many studies on corporate social responsibility abroad,but the discussion on corporate social responsibility in China is still in its infancy,especially the research on the social responsibility of state-owned commercial banks with special status in China is still very imperfect.Especially for a long time,when evaluating commercial banks in China,we pay attention to the evaluation of internal economic interests,pay insufficient attention to corporate social responsibility,and there is no set of clear scientific evaluation method combining quantitative and qualitative analysis.Therefore,how to improve the initiative and self-discipline of state-owned commercial enterprises to fulfill their social responsibilities and integrate with international standards is of far-reaching significance to promote China’s sustainable economic development and ensure the stability of social and financial order.On the basis of combing the connotation and concept of social responsibility of state-owned commercial banks,this paper further defines the scope of social responsibility of state-owned commercial banks.At the same time,taking Taiyuan branch of China Construction Bank as an example,this paper explores the current situation of social responsibility development from four aspects: helping the cause of ecological environmental protection,serving local small and micro enterprises,supporting industrial technology transformation and boosting the construction of smart city.In view of the phenomenon and essence of the problem,this paper makes an in-depth analysis from the internal and external reasons.It is considered that from the internal point of view,it is because commercial banks have insufficient understanding of social responsibility,lack of organizational structure to ensure social responsibility activities and internal factors to fulfill social responsibility;Externally,it is because a complete audit,supervision and legal system has not yet been formed,and there is a lack of unified supervision and management standards.On this basis,this paper puts forward some suggestions on the implementation of social responsibility of state-owned banks.
