In recent years, the prosperity and development of the digital economy and the outbreak of the new crown epidemic have completely subverted the traditional service model, operation model, marketing model and risk control model of commercial banks, and profoundly changed the competitive landscape of the banking industry. In the face of complex and severe internal and external situations,state-owned commercial banks have taken the initiative to follow the development trend of financial technology and implement digital transformation strategies. However, the great changes brought about by digital transformation have put forward higher requirements for the prevention and control of credit risk of state-owned commercial banks.Studying the impact of digital transformation on the prevention and control of credit risk of state-owned commercial banks is of great significance for state-owned commercial banks to better serve the real economy, maintain financial stability, and achieve credit risk control. At the theoretical research level, this paper starts from the perspective of the impact of digital transformation on the credit risk of state-owned commercial banks, and systematically introduces the concepts and theoretical basis of digital transformation and credit risk. This paper expounds the development strategy of the digital transformation of state-owned commercial banks and the status quo of credit risk management, analyzes the current challenges faced by the digital transformation of state-owned commercial banks, and the theoretical mechanism of the positive and negative effects of digital transformation on the credit risk of commercial banks. The practical application of digital transformation of state-owned banks in the field of credit risk management is summarized. In order to better illustrate the impact of digital transformation on the credit risk of state-owned commercial banks, this paper conducts regression analysis based on the data of 28 listed commercial banks in my country from 2011 to 2020,and conducts empirical research.Based on the latest research results of CSMA—China Digital Economy Research Database The degree of digital transformation of Chinese listed banks is used as the explanatory variable, and the non-performing loan ratio is used as the explained variable for regression research. The empirical research results show that digital transformation is conducive to reducing the credit risk of commercial banks. At the same time, the impact of digital transformation on the credit risk of commercial banks in my country is heterogeneous, and the improvement of the level of credit risk prevention and control of state-owned commercial banks is even more significant. With the advancement of digital transformation,state-owned commercial banks rely on relatively complete data marts and talent advantages to realize digital reconstruction of risk prevention and control systems through technological empowerment, and control credit risks more accurately, thereby reducing credit risk exposure. Finally, based on the empirical research results, the full text is summarized, and relevant policy suggestions are put forward from the aspects of further clarifying the digital transformation strategy, accelerating the integration and application of data, improving the intelligent level of risk prevention and control, and improving the credit risk management system.
