| In 2020,China’s GDP is still outstanding,and the total economic volume has successfully exceeded one billion yuan.Logistics industry is a contributor to China’s GDP,and its system construction is of great significance to China’s strategic development.In recent years,the state has also successively issued multi-level policies to vigorously support the development of the logistics industry.It can be seen that the logistics industry,as an important part of China’s economy,has broad prospects.Express industry is an important branch of logistics industry,which is now in the transition stage from growth to maturity.After years of rapid development,the business volume of China’s express industry ranked first in the world in 2014,and now far exceeds the total business volume of other developed countries,making a great contribution to the postal industry in China and the world.At this stage,the concentration of China’s express industry continues to rise,the scale advantages of leading express enterprises are obvious,and small and medium-sized express enterprises are gradually squeezed out of the market.At the same time,the influence of science and technology on the express industry is growing.The characteristics of the express industry have gradually changed from labor intensive and capital intensive to technology intensive.Therefore,express companies with stronger technical capabilities can gain more advantages in the future.The vigorous development of e-commerce industry has created impetus for the business growth of express industry,but at the same time,there are also problems such as homogenization of e-commerce express competition and intensification of price war.Therefore,whether express enterprises can make profits and how to make profits in the current environment have attracted people’s attention.SF holdings is a leading enterprise in China’s express industry and has a certain influence all over the world.Unlike other express delivery enterprises,SF Holdings has adopted a unique direct sales model,and successfully expanded its business scope to express,cold chain,intra city,internation,supply chain and other fields,gradually becoming the largest comprehensive logistics service provider in China.Therefore,exploring the profit model of SF Holdings has reference value for SF holdings itself and other express delivery enterprises.Firstly,through reading a large amount of literature,I understand the research results of scholars in the field of profit model,and determine the content and basic framework of this thesis.From the results of the literature review,there are few literatures on the profit model of express industry.This thesis can enrich the relevant literature in the future.The second part of this thesis briefly introduces the profit model of the logistics industry,and shares the definition and characteristics of the profit model of the logistics industry,the five constituent elements of the profit model,the classification of three profit models and the relevant theoretical basis.This part lays a theoretical foundation for the later case analysis and cause analysis.The third part of this thesis comprehensively introduces the profit model of SF holdings.Firstly,it briefly introduces the basic situation and business scope of SF holdings,then shows the change process of SF Holdings’ profit model,then summarizes the constituent elements of SF Holdings’ direct operation model according to the five elements in Chapter 2,and finally analyzes the effectiveness of SF Holdings’ direct operation model from the perspectives of financial effect and market effect.The fourth part of this thesis is the reason analysis of the third part.The analysis shows that SF Holdings’ decision to change from franchise mode to direct operation mode is based on the consideration of differentiation strategy,human resources and whole process operation.The direct operation mode of SF holdings can achieve results because the company carries out differentiated market positioning,continuously expands new customer groups,implements diversified business operation,establishes a "three networks in one" logistics system,provides high-quality services and obtains customer satisfaction.The fifth part of this thesis is a summary of the previous content,and comes to the conclusion that the direct marketing model helps SF holdings strengthen talent training and technology investment,improve its ability to tap profits,implement effective management in the whole process of operation,and form and maintain its core competitiveness.It also provides some experience for the whole express industry,such as selecting the appropriate profit model,scientifically defining the elements of the profit model,promoting diversified logistics management and paying attention to brand image and service quality.At present,scholars have less research on the industry profit model.This thesis enriches the research on the profit model in the express logistics industry.This thesis adopts the method of case analysis and takes SF holdings as the analysis target,which can find the details hidden by big data.Different from other scholars who focus on financial analysis of enterprises,this thesis also uses non-financial indicators such as service satisfaction to establish a complete comprehensive evaluation system.This thesis can not only help the management of SF holdings better understand the profit model of their own enterprises,but also facilitate the market investors,government regulators and other stakeholders of SF holdings to have a clearer understanding and judgment of SF.In addition,this thesis plays a certain reference role for express enterprises that have not yet established a profit model,and plays a comparative and reference role for express enterprises that adopt the franchise model at this stage. |
