| In the globalization of production today, the degree of Manufacturing Digitization determines the economic structure of a country.Since entering the era of digital economy, all countries are making efforts to promote the Manufacturing Digitization.80% of OECD member countries have started the road of digital transformation, formulated national strategies or departmental policies for Manufacturing Digitization, actively constructed the strategic framework of digital economy.A new round of scientific and technological revolution promotes the transformation of international trade forms, and the digital trade rules coordinate the development of digital trade to promote the process of digital economy. The digitization of manufacturing is part of the digital economy, and the depth of digital trade rules have a certain impact on the development of manufacturing digitization. In order to study the impact of digital trade rules on the digitization of manufacturing,we first use the depth of digital trade rules to define and measure digital trade rules, then define and measure the connotation of manufacturing digitization, and finally analyze the impact of digital trade rules on manufacturing through empirical research and explore the path of Manufacturing Digitization upgrade. At present, the WTO has not established uniform and standardized digital trade rules. The digital trade rules in regional trade agreements(RTAs)are the main way for the development of digital trade rules. In this thesis, the method of quantitative research on digital trade rules draws on the TAPED database compiled by the University of Maluse, and constructs an in-depth index of digital trade rules to analyze the country characteristics and evolution characteristics of digital trade rules.Explore the extent to which the depth of digital trade rules affects the digitization of manufacturing, the avenues of action, and category differences. The empirical results show that the depth of high-level digital trade rules promotes the digitization of the manufacturing industry, and the four types of provisions of the digital trade rules have heterogeneity in the promotion of the digitization of the manufacturing industry. The active participation of economies in the construction of digital trade rules can promote the development of the digital economy, which is conducive to the digitization of manufacturing. In addition, multilateral digital trade rules have a more significant impact on the manufacturing digitization, and active participation in global value chains is beneficial to the national economy.Different types of countries are distinguished, and it is found that a high level of digital trade rule depth has a more obvious promotion effect on the digitization of manufacturing in developing countries. Therefore, this thesis puts forward some suggestions for the government and enterprises respectively. The first is to actively participate in the construction of digital trade rules, takes the lead in occupying the high ground of the digital economy and creates favorable external conditions for the development of digital manufacturing;the second is to vigorously develop digital information technology to promote the flow, storage of data and information elements, thereby promoting the manufacturing industry;the third, the focus on talent training, the development of science and technology and technological innovation can accelerate the process of manufacturing digitization;the fourth is to actively participate in multilateral cooperation, improves the content of digital trade rules,so as to increase the depth of digital trade rules and stimulate the manufacturing digitization. The research of this thesis has enriched the related literature on digital trade rules and digital upgrading of the manufacturing industry as a whole, provides valuable empirical evidence in the theory and practice of industrial upgrading, and provides new ideas for developing countries to realize the adjustment of economic structure. |
