China is on schedule to fulfill the objective task of poverty eradication in the new period by the end of 2020 and move forward with the construction of a comprehensive moderately prosperous society.Although absolute poverty has been eradicated, relative poverty will persist for some time, necessitating further poverty reduction measures. As a result, the goal is to figure out how to address the problem of relative poverty.Digital technology and financial inclusion are becoming increasingly inextricably linked as financial technology advances. The flourishing development of inclusive finance has diluted regional boundaries, expanded regional relevance, improved the efficiency of the flourishing development of inclusive finance, and provided new channels and ideas to alleviate relative poverty in rural areas, thanks to the use of digital-related technologies.Based on the above background, this paper firstly clarifies the theoretical mechanism of digital inclusive finance to alleviate relative poverty in rural areas and the current situation of digital inclusive finance and rural poverty with the help of theoretical analysis;secondly,it selects relevant data of 31 provinces(cities and districts)in China from 2017 to 2019 and cites the digital inclusive finance index released by the Digital Finance Research Center of Peking University to study digital inclusive finance from a spatial perspective The spatial spillover effects of the development level of digital inclusive finance and its three subdimensions in alleviating rural relative poverty are studied from a spatial perspective, and the following conclusions are obtained: First, both digital inclusive finance and rural relative poverty show "high-high" and "low-low" spatial clustering characteristics."Second, the development of digital inclusive finance will significantly alleviate poverty in local and neighboring areas.Third, from the three sub-dimensions of digital inclusive finance, the depth of digital inclusive finance use positively contributes to the alleviation of rural relative poverty, the degree of digitalization does not have a significant impact on relative poverty but inhibits the alleviation of rural relative poverty, and the breadth of coverage does not have a significant impact on the alleviation of rural relative poverty;fourth, the regional industrial structure and the average household size inhibit the alleviation of relative poverty.Fifth, urbanization rate and telephone penetration rate have insignificant effects on the relative poverty level.Based on the above conclusions, this paper makes the following recommendations:accelerate the construction of digital inclusive financial infrastructure in rural areas, innovate sustainable and precise service-oriented digital inclusive financial products, strengthen information gully governance, and enhance farmers’ digital financial literacy.
