Study On The Impact Of Agricultural Labor Aging On Land Transfer

Population aging is a process that a country must go through in the process of development,and it has become a global social phenomenon.It is expected that by 2050,the aging population will exceed 2 billion.Compared with other developed countries,my country’s population aging phenomenon appears later,but the degree of aging is deepening.According to the data of the seventh national census,most of the country has entered a deep aging,and all the three northeastern provinces have entered a deep aging.The most intuitive manifestation of the aging phenomenon in rural areas is the transfer of young and middle-aged labor to cities,from agriculture to industry and services.Anhui Province is a large agricultural province.The long-term shortage of agricultural labor force and the deepening of aging have brought great influence to the agricultural development of Anhui Province.The problem of population aging is becoming more and more serious,which leads to the aging of the labor force.The aging of the agricultural labor force will cause a large area of rural land to be abandoned and hinder the development of agricultural modernization.Land transfer is an effective solution to this phenomenon.Promoting rural land circulation can effectively integrate land resources and fully realize the rational use of land resources.In order to study how the aging of the agricultural population in Anhui Province affects the land transfer,with the help of the Anhui Provincial Statistical Yearbook and related literatures,the relative situation of the aging population and land transfer in Anhui Province was respectively understood,and the aging of the agricultural population in Anhui Province was analyzed.The reason for the land transfer behavior.In addition,with the help of farmer household data obtained through questionnaire surveys in Hefei,Lu’an,Bozhou,and Xuancheng in Anhui Province,from the micro perspective of farmer households,the types of labor force mainly involved in agricultural labor by farmer households are selected,including young agricultural laborers,middle-aged laborers,etc.The three variables of agricultural labor force and elderly agricultural labor force are used as the core explanatory variables of the model,and factors that may affect land transfer behavior are selected as explanatory variables,including the age of agricultural labor force,education level,and agricultural resources.A binary discrete choice model of the impact of agricultural labor aging on land transfer in Anhui Province was constructed by Logit regression analysis.According to the Logit model,we empirically analyze whether the aging of agricultural population in Anhui Province affects the behavior of land transfer,and analyze the variable factors that can affect the behavior of land transfer through the empirical results.Through empirical test results,we can measure which factors can affect land transfer behavior and how.Finally,through the empirical test,it is concluded that among the three core variables selected,the young agricultural labor force is more inclined to transfer land,while the middle-aged and elderly agricultural labor force is more inclined to cultivate by themselves.This conclusion shows that the older the agricultural labor force,the less willing to transfer the land.Land,indicating that the aging of the agricultural labor force will have a certain hindering effect on land transfer behavior,and other explanatory variables selected have no significant impact on land transfer behavior.According to the research conclusions,combined with the aging of agricultural labor force and the current situation of land transfer in Anhui Province,and according to the dilemma of land transfer behavior,relevant policy suggestions are put forward: build a land transfer platform,improve the land transfer service mechanism;establish and improve the rural old-age security system,Promote the willingness of farmers to transfer land;implement large-scale operations to improve the scientific and technological added value of agricultural production;vigorously publicize land transfer policies,strengthen social participation,and improve farmers’ land transfer legal concept and other policy suggestions.
