| Urban agglomeration is the main platform for population and industrial agglomeration.Under the background that China’s economic growth has entered the new normal, urban agglomeration has gradually become the core of China’s economic development with its regional advantages. The phenomenon of industrial agglomeration is closely related to the region. For a specific region, industrial agglomeration may increase its economic scale and be beneficial to economic growth.Urban agglomeration as an economic concentrated region, its industrial agglomeration phenomenon is even more so.This paper,by studying the agglomeration or dispersion of industries in urban agglomerations on the impact of economic growth in urban agglomerations, and through this research,to study the economic growth of urban agglomerations brought different ideas. In addition, the spatial structure of urban agglomeration is also considered as an important source of improving the economic efficiency of urban agglomeration. Therefore, whether the industry of urban agglomeration is concentrated or dispersed, and whether the spatial structure of urban agglomeration is single center or multi-center,has an important relationship with the economic development of urban agglomeration and the improvement of its competitiveness. This paper firstly systematically discusses the basic concepts and relevant theories of industrial agglomeration, spatial structure and economic growth in urban agglomerations, and then builds a research framework by summarizing relevant research status.Then,13 urban agglomerations in China are taken as research objects. The industrial agglomeration degree and spatial structure index of urban agglomerations from 2006 to 2015 were measured by nonagricultural industrial employee density and permanent resident population Herfindahl index respectively. The actual GDP of each urban agglomerations from 2006 to 2015 was selected to represent the economic growth index of urban agglomerations. Finally, panel data were used to construct C-D model. The regression equation is constructed and its influence results are analyzed. In view of the above theoretical and empirical research, the main conclusions of this paper are as follows :(1)there are differences in industrial agglomeration, spatial structure and economic growth degree among urban agglomerations in China. For urban agglomeration degree of industrial concentration degree, the Yangtze river delta, pearl river delta and the beijing-tianjin-hebei urban agglomeration, showed more leading situation, but the nanchang and taiyuan urban agglomeration is lower than the average level, although the level of industrial agglomeration of the urban agglomeration in general are showing a rising trend, but the urban agglomeration and urban agglomeration between industry agglomeration level still exists bigger difference; For the spatial structure of urban agglomerations, there is little difference in the rate of change within each urban agglomerations, but there is differentiation among urban agglomerations, with a large gap between each other. In terms of the degree of economic growth of urban agglomerations, the Yangtze River Delta,Pearl River Delta and Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei urban agglomerations are far ahead,no matter in terms of overall GDP or per capita GDP of urban agglomerations.Although the economic growth rate of various urban agglomerations is also increasing year by year, there are also large differences among urban agglomerations.(2)Both the level of industrial agglomeration and the spatial structure of urban agglomeration have a significant impact on the economic growth of urban agglomeration. The regression results of the general fixed effect model and the fixed effect regression results of the robust standard error control fully reflect that the industrial agglomeration in urban agglomeration plays a promoting role in the process of urban agglomeration economic growth, that is,the higher the degree of industrial agglomeration in urban agglomeration, the more obvious the economic effect of urban agglomeration. It is also found that the economic performance of urban agglomerations is significantly promoted when the spatial structure of urban agglomerations is single center distribution. |
