In the post-epidemic era, international geopolitical uncertainty has increased, and the international division of labor is facing a reshuffle. The game of major powers and the new crown epidemic have made trade protectionism intensified. The future development of the world economy will be both opportunities and challenges. In the face of great changes unseen in a century, the Central Economic Work Conference pointed out that China must adapt to the new situation and new requirements when exploring institutional reforms and opening up to the outside world. In order to upgrade the industrial base,it is necessary to focus on promoting institutional opening up and realize the international integration of the socialist system with Chinese characteristics through effective adjustment and reform in the face of fierce international competition. As an "accelerator" to promote the optimization and upgrading of the industrial structure and the improvement of economic quality and efficiency, the producer service industry is an important breakthrough to solve the current institutional innovation problem. Therefore,in this context, this thesis combines the two most critical development goals at this stage, open institutional innovation and productive service industry agglomeration, based on new geographical economics and industrial location theory, with the help of panel data of 285 urban development from 2007 to 2019,a multiphase DID model is constructed for empirical analysis. The intermediary mechanism of knowledge spillover effect optimizes the resource allocation of highend elements in the region and beyond. In addition, this thesis also analyzes the heterogeneity of this conclusion from the perspective of city size, other policy implications and geographical location, and further verifies the robustness of the research conclusions by excluding the policy tendency of the site selection of the pilot free trade zone itself. Therefore,it will help the productive service industry to become a new driving force for China’s economic growth, help all regions to complete a number of goals such as maintaining growth and adjusting the structure at the same time, crack the path of the "paradox of the development of the productive service industry" that hinders the upgrading of "Made in China",truly change China’s division of labor position in the global value chain, and further promote the sustained and healthy development of China’s national economy and society. |
