Research On Bibliometrics And Theme Mining Of China-Related Reports From European And American Think Tanks

European and American think tanks are an important part of the global think tank system,carrying out European and American think tanks related to China report bibliometrics,theme mining,emotional and attitude tendency analysis and research,so that we can better grasp and understand the european and American countries’ cognition of China’s development,help government decision-making departments to timely judge and predict the european and American countries’ policy strategic plans for China,combined with the actual domestic situation to formulate coping strategies;help to improve the level of decision-making reference services in China’s information and intelligence field,and better establish China’s right to speak in the international community.This study will also provide new ideas and new methods for the research and development of think tanks in Europe and the United States.Enriching the academic community’s literature and intelligence analysis and research on European and American think tanks can also provide policy analysis reference for the trilateral political relations between China and the United States and Europe.This study combines the research trends,research fields and key words co-word analysis of the reports of European and American think tanks on China to realize the preliminary bibliometric analysis of think tank reports.First,crawl the think tank report data of the think tank report database platform from 2012 to August 2021,and perform text preprocessing on it.Using the bibliometric analysis method to conduct preliminary statistical analysis on China-related reports of European and American think tanks,it is found that the number of Chinese-related reports issued by European and American think tanks is on the rise as a whole.Select high-frequency keywords in political,economic,social,ecological,military,and diplomatic fields from European and American think tanks’ reports on China according to the high-and low-frequency word boundary formula,and construct a co-word matrix to realize the visual analysis of concept networks in various fields.This paper summarizes the focus of European and American think tanks in different research fields,which can provide a certain reference value for think tank researchers.The LDA topic model is used to extract the subject words of the political,economic,social,ecological,military and diplomatic fields reported by the think tank,and the optimal number of topics for the think tank text in each field is determined through the perplexity evaluation curve graph,and the calculation of each field is calculated.Based on the probability of each topic in each think tank report,the topic tags and topic probabilities in various fields are combined,and the results of the keyword co-word analysis are referenced.Combining sentiment analysis with attitude tendency analysis,VADER sentiment dictionary is used to implement sentiment analysis of major topics in various fields of European and American think tanks’ China-related reports;a classification of attitude tendencies of European and American think tanks’ China-related reports is proposed,and Nvivo qualitative analysis software is used to coded one by one.Methods In-depth analysis of China-related reports of European and American think tanks,interpretation of the attitudes and opinions of relevant scholars and institutions of European and American think tanks on the main topics of China-related reports,and put forward countermeasures and suggestions for telling Chinese stories well and improving my country’s national image.
