| With the society entering the age of knowledge economy and information technology,instrument and meter’s technologies have been used more and more widely.Since reform and opening up,with the long-term independent development of national industrialization and industrialization,China’s instrument and meter industry has been provided a good opportunity to develop rapidly.Since 2015,total output of China’s instrument industry has exceeded one trillion yuan,but trade deficit of the whole industry has been more than 25 billion dollars in the period of 2015-2019.It can be seen that China still relies on imports for a long time in the field of high-tech and key technologies,which reflects the fact that technical development of China’s instrument and meter industry is still lagged behind.Therefore,under the new historical situation of industrial upgrading and promoting technological innovation to promote sustainable economic growth in China,it is of important practical significance to explore the influence of technology acquisition methods and absorptive capacity on enterprise innovation performance.Based on the panel data of companies in China’s instrument and meter industry from 2015 to 2019,this paper analyzes the relationship among mode of technology acquisition,absorptive capacity and innovation performance.Based on the Cobb-Douglas production function model,and total factor productivity represented by mode of technology acquisition and absorptive capacity,we apply fixed effect model for the empirical analysis.It is found that internal technology acquisition has a significantly positive effect on the firm’s innovation performance,while external technology acquisition has a negative impact and absorptive capacity has a positive effect.Mode of external technology acquisition is further divided into technology import and technology cooperation.Technology import has a significantly positive effect on innovation performance,while technology cooperation has a negative impact.Absorptive capacity has a significant moderating effect on external technology acquisition mode and innovation performance.We further introduce a dummy variable of whether the enterprise is a state-owned enterprise,and find that compared with private enterprises,technology acquisitions of state-owned enterprises have a lower innovation performance and negative effect.When state-owned enterprises acquire external technology,technical cooperation has a positive effect on innovation performance,and absorptive capacity has a significant moderating effect on technological cooperation and innovation performance of state-owned enterprise.From a microeconomic perspective,this paper further complements the research on technology acquisition mode,absorptive capacity and innovation performance with respect to China’s instrument enterprise.Meanwhile,it puts forward appropriate mode of technology acquisition for improving China’s instrument and meter industry,and provides relevant suggestions in this regard. |
