With the development of socialist market economy,the market plays a more and more decisive role in resource allocation.In the face of fierce market competition,most organizations hope to introduce third-party management consulting companies to help them solve problems in development.The consulting market with strong demand has spawned many management consulting companies.With the development of the whole industry,there are more and more high-quality consulting companies in the market,At the same time,under the background of the transformation of China’s economy from high-speed development to high-quality development,all walks of life pay more attention to the investment of talents.Management consulting companies need to pay more human and material resources to attract talents,which increases the employment cost of enterprises.Management consulting companies are faced with the dual challenges of attracting and retaining high-quality management consultants and cultivating and developing management consultants under high work pressure.The problems existing in talent management directly affect the further development of the company.The career planning of Management Consultants is not clear enough and there is no clear and complete career development plan to support the growth and career development of management consultants.With the improvement of people’s quality of life and the high-income characteristics of the management consulting industry,the marginal income of relying on high salary to attract and motivate employees is getting lower and lower.Better career development planning and related training system can be more attractive to management consultants.Firstly,this paper arranges the relevant literature of competency,competency model and career planning,deeply understands the relevant theories,and lays a solid theoretical foundation for the research.Taking ZX company as an example,through the analysis of the company’s development status,organizational structure and human resources status,this paper summarizes the specific problems existing in career management.Through the analysis of management consulting work,recruitment advertisements of typical management consulting companies and the actual situation of the company,this paper collects the competency elements of management consultants,and constructs the competency model of management consulting talents of ZX company through empirical analysis.Combined with the medium and long-term development objectives of ZX company and the opinions of employees,on the basis of building a competency model,through combing the position system,establish a multi-channel career development path,improve the qualification assessment,strengthen systematic career training and other measures,further improve the career planning and management of ZX company,and formulate safeguard measures for the effective implementation of career management,so as to help ZX company build a high-quality High quality management consulting talent team.Build the competency model of ZX company’s management consultants,and establish the career development system of management consultants based on the competency model,which not only improves the level of the company’s career planning and management,but also standardizes the human resource management,so that the recruitment and selection,training and development,performance evaluation and assessment of personnel are more based,and truly make the development direction of management consultants consistent with the company’s strategic direction.It is hoped that taking ZX company as an example,the research on the competency model and career development planning of management consultants can improve the ability of management consultants and the competitiveness of the company,realize the company’s strategic objectives as soon as possible,and provide ideas and help for the management consulting industry to solve corresponding problems.
