Research On The Quality Of Urbanization In The Economic Zone On The West Coast Of The Taiwan Straits

With the rapid development of China’s economy,China’s urbanization has also developed rapidly,the scale of cities has gradually expanded,and urban agglomerations have gradually matured.The Central Urbanization Work Conference proposed that the development process of China’s urbanization and urban agglomeration should be based on the new development concept of “innovation,coordination,green,openness and sharing”.for guidance.Since then,the high-quality development of urbanization has become the direction of China’s new-type urbanization development.The“Development Plan for the Economic Zone on the West Coast of the Taiwan Strait” has achieved brilliant achievements in the ten years from its approval in 2011 to its construction.However,at the same time,there are four main factors that restrict the improvement of the quality of urbanization in the West Strait Economic Zone,including the lack of overall opening level,the lack of development height of the frontier areas of urban agglomeration,the lack of innovation driving ability,and the large gap in the development level within the urban agglomeration.It is of great theoretical and practical significance to study the high-quality development path and improvement countermeasures of urbanization.Firstly,this paper clarifies the connotation and characteristics of urbanization quality and high-quality development,combined with new development concepts,selects six aspects of innovation,coordination,and openness,etc,and establishes an urbanization quality evaluation index system based on this.Secondly,this paper uses the entropy weight method to measure the urbanization quality of each city and its subsystems in the West Straits Economic Zone from 2011 to 2020.Multiply the standardized data and the calculated weights to obtain the comprehensive score and subsystem score of urbanization quality,and explore the spatial distribution characteristics of urbanization quality.Finally,building a system coupling coordination degree model,deeply explore the system coupling coordination degree within the urbanization quality evaluation system,and conduct an in-depth analysis of the factors affecting the development of urbanization quality and their reasons.From the macro level,this paper proposes to accelerate the improvement of the internal circulation kinetic energy of the regional economy,promote high-level opening to the outside world from the coast to the inland,promote the transformation and upgrading of the industrial structure by innovation,pay attention to the leading role of talents in urban development,and closely follow the differences in the positioning of urban functions.It hopes to provide theoretical reference and practical guidance for the high-quality development of China’s urbanization.
