| In 2020,China’s urbanization will exceed 60%for the first time.As urbanization enters the middle and late stages,the trend of differentiation and concentration betweencities becomes more and more obvious.Urban shrinkage has become one of the focuses of domestic academic circles.In the process of rapid urbanization in China,many cities have experienced different degrees of shrinkage,and these cities are mostly distributed in the Northeast region and the Yangtze River Delta region.There are many reasons for urban shrinkage,but the main factors include resource-exhausted industrial transition difficulties,population decline,economic recession caused by the decline in economic growth,etc.,and industrial agglomeration is an important way to promote economic growth.Therefore,research industry The relationship between agglomeration and urban shrinkage is very necessary.This paper uses the dynamic panel data of 282 prefecture-level cities from 2011 to 2018,and uses the corrected average brightness of night light data of DMSP\OLS and NPP\NIIR as an indicator to measure urban shrinkage,and uses the system GMM estimation to explore the diversified industrial agglomeration.And empirically test the impact mechanism of industrial specialization agglomeration and urban shrinkage,and found that:the development of diversified agglomeration cities is not prone to urban shrinkage,and the development of specialized agglomeration cities are more likely to shrink;from the perspective of urban heterogeneity,For now,the eastern cities have better conditions for the development of diversified agglomeration than the central and western cities due to their geographical and resource advantages.Therefore,the government should encourage the diversified development of urban industries.While encouraging diversification in cities that have already been specialized,the government should broaden the areas of specialized industry development and cultivate technologyintensive industries and productive service industries.More importantly,the government should strengthen the construction of basic education,medical care,air quality,etc.,attract the influx of people from various aspects such as talent policy,urban livability,and avoid urban shrinkage. |
