Silicon-based photonic integration technology utilizes the working mechanism and photoelectric characteristics of photonic,electronic and optoelectronic devices in silicon materials,and adopts micro and nano processing technology compatible with integrated circuits to develop and prepare optoelectronic chips on silicon wafers.These chips are applied in optical communication,which greatly promote the development of optical communication field.However,there are still disadvantages in the design and simulation of silicon photonic integration technology,such as the layout automation design of silicon photonic chip is not mature,and the coordination of silicon photonic chip platform and design simulation software is not excellent.For the silicon photonic chip design,modeling,simulation,optimization processes,if using different software to achieve,it is difficult to manage.The design process is not efficient,the development cycle is long,and the cost is high.This thesis focuses on the research of silicon photonic layout automation and design kit.The main work is as follows:(1)The python programming language is used to code the basic design parameterized cells,designing a variety of passive devices and active devices to improve the component library,and establish the compact model of the device.(2)According to different design requirements,a variety of waveguide structures are designed for the interconnection between devices.(3)According to the requirements of system-level layout design,the function of automatically adding transition waveguides at the device ports is realized,and the automatic adding of dummy is realized to make the layer density meet the density requirements.(4)According to the layout design requirements of integrated coherent receiver,the framework of automatic equal-length routing between multiple ports and automatic adding of cross waveguide devices is realized.(5)An optical computing module is designed,and the device design,modeling and simulation,layout,link generation and link simulation of the module are integrated to show the powerful design function.The accuracy and reliability of the simulation engine Caphe and CAMFR are verified. |
