With the development and progress of society,people’s safety awareness has been continuously improved.In addition to relying on the public sector to provide security,they have begun to pay more attention to the quality of safety precautions in the surrounding living areas.It is an important part of ensuring the safety of residents to grasp the security status of key areas in real time through video surveillance,and to retrieve and find evidence by retrieving stored videos.However,as far as the communities where people spend the longest time in daily activities,some communities still use digital video recorders for analog video storage.The system deployment is cumbersome and the operating area is limited,which makes it impossible to effectively take advantage of today’s powerful network.Another part of the community uses network video recorders for storage,but on the one hand,the simple storage method makes the scalability and reliability insufficient;on the other hand,the commonly used event-based retrieval method is relatively passive and the system service is difficult to expand.Some communities choose to use cloud services.System storage and services have high scalability,but bandwidth and storage are expensive,and residents have privacy concerns.The video storage service system based on the community center server designed in this system solves the above problems from the perspective of storage scheme and retrieval technology.For front-end devices,this system takes advantage of the network transmission of network cameras to facilitate remote access and usage for users,with high flexibility and scalability.In terms of backend architecture,a central server is used to transmit video streams based on IP networks,which enables uniform configuration,upgrading,maintenance,and monitoring of network devices,reducing the difficulty of user management in the later stage.The system has the following innovations:(1)The system fully utilizes the advantages of the network while increasing the scalability of its services.It provides centralized control and storage,ensuring users do not have privacy concerns like those with cloud services,and is also more affordable.The storage area network uses standard Ethernet transmission control for storage,which can be integrated with existing networks.The storage capacity and devices are highly scalable and can take full advantage of high bandwidth to improve data access and processing efficiency.In terms of equipment,the advantages of various disk arrays are integrated,and various strategies such as model switching and free space allocation are designed to ensure the performance and reliability of video storage.(2)By comparing with multiple algorithms,a concise yet effective pedestrian re-identification algorithm is selected.The algorithm assists in video retrieval by relying on a pedestrian detection module to detect pedestrians,extracting features through the pedestrian re-identification module,and matching the pedestrians.This enables users to quickly retrieve specific pedestrian videos,thereby improving retrieval efficiency.This system also provides users with an interactive and easy-to-use method through a responsive front-end page.Functional testing of the system has shown that the video storage service described in this article can meet community administrators’ needs for video storage and services,achieving the system design’s expected goals.
