Fused Deposition Modeling(FDM)technology stands out from many 3D printing technologies with the advantages of simple mechanical structure,simple design,low manufacturing,maintenance and material costs.In recent years,it has developed rapidly and been widely in use in automobile,mold,medical rehabilitation,aerospace,cultural relics protection and other fields.Nozzle is the key part of fused deposition modeling equipment.In recent years,with the wide application of FDM 3D printing technology,the cleaning problem of nozzle has attracted much attention.Traditional mechanical cleaning,thermal cleaning and chemical cleaning technology have low efficiency and poor cleaning effect.In order to improve the efficiency of nozzle cleaning,this paper designs an efficient cleaning process and a nozzle cleaning system for FDM 3D printer.First of all,the technical defects and deficiencies in the traditional nozzle cleaning technology are summarized,the nozzle cleaning technology and cleaning process suitable for FDM 3D printer nozzle are developed,and an automatic control nozzle cleaning system is designed.It mainly includes the design of nozzle clamp device,cleaning liquid circulation device,drying system and gas purification device,as well as the selection of key components such as cleaning pump,rinse pump,ultrasonic generator module,ultrasonic oscillator and pressure controller.Secondly,the control mode of the nozzle cleaning system is determined,and the control programming of the cleaning control system,rinsing control system and drying control system is completed.It includes cleaning fluid supply,ultrasonic cleaning,cleaning fluid temperature,rinsing fluid supply,rinsing time,and the control design of the fan and heating device of the drying system.Finally,the prototype of the fused deposition modeling 3D printer nozzle cleaning system was built,and the nozzle cleaning experiment was carried out using the system to verify the feasibility and effectiveness of the system.Using this prototype to investigate the cleaning effect of N,N-dimethyl formamide reagent on PLA,TPU and ABS three products,cleaning effect at different cleaning fluid temperatures,and the effect of different types of nozzles and different materials were studied.The results show that the DMF reagent takes the shortest time to clean the nozzles of TPU accumulation,and the average cleaning time of each nozzle is 0.74 hours.Changes in the temperature of the cleaning fluid have no significant change in the cleaning efficiency of the nozzles.Compared with the split nozzle,the cleaning efficiency of the integrated nozzle is higher,and in the integrated nozzle,the cleaning time of the stainless steel nozzle is less than that of the ordinary brass nozzle.The above experimental results show that the use of this system to clean the nozzle can effectively avoid the shortcomings of the traditional nozzle cleaning technology and effectively improve the cleaning efficiency of the nozzle. |
