| With the advancement of science and technology,tungsten carbide powder is playing an irreplaceable role in the development of modern industries around the world,and is gradually being used in many fields,thus increasing the demand for tungsten carbide powder.In this paper,we analyse the patent information of tungsten carbide powder in the context of the project "Patent Navigation Analysis of JTHC",and select its key technology branch.A comparative analysis of the main patent innovation source countries is also conducted to provide a boost to the development of the tungsten carbide powder industry.The main findings of the study are as follows:From the global patent data of tungsten carbide powder,there are 919 patent applications for tungsten carbide powder worldwide,and the overall trend of patent applications is growing.In the early stage of the development of this field,overseas countries dominated the patent applications,and in recent years,the domestic patent applications in this field have grown rapidly,the number of foreign tungsten carbide powder patent applications has slowed down,and China has gradually become a major patent application country;the technology with the largest distribution of tungsten carbide powder technology field is C01 B,followed by B22F;among the top 20 applicants of global patent applications,Chinese applicants are the most numerous,but in terms of the average number of citations and the number of claims of patents domestic applicants are generally lower than foreign applicants.From the patent data of Chinese tungsten carbide powder,China has filed 435 patents in this field and is currently in a rapid development stage;the quality of domestic patents is not high and the number of invalid patents is high;among domestic applicants,universities are an important force in early patent research and development,and the proportion of valid patents is high.An analysis of the quality of the applicants’ patent situation through several indicators shows that Zhuzhou Cemented Carbide,Zhejiang University of Technology and Zigong The patent quality of Zhuzhou Cemented Carbide,Zhejiang University of Technology and Zigong Cemented Carbide is relatively high;the patent applications for tungsten carbide powder in China are mainly concentrated in regions with richer tungsten resources,with Hunan and Jiangxi having the largest number of patent applications,and enterprises being the main innovators;the level of patent operation lags behind the level of patent creation,with universities being the main patent licensors and most of the patent licensing acts of the enterprise category occurring within the company.From the comparative analysis of the main innovation source countries,China is the world’s number one technology source country for tungsten carbide powder,but a large number of patents are laid out domestically,and the layout of overseas patents is relatively small and unbalanced in terms of layout area,and there is an obvious gap compared with other countries,and China is also the target market country that applicants from various countries focus on;in terms of patent value degree,the proportion of high-value patents in China is not high;in terms of the comprehensive competition situation of patents China is in between the technology leaders and technology activists in the field of tungsten carbide powder technology,and the US and Japan have greater potential competitiveness.Finally,based on the above conclusions,relevant suggestions are put forward in four aspects: patent layout,patent operation system,school-enterprise cooperation and patent management to promote the development of domestic tungsten carbide powder technology. |
