Research And Application Of Gesture Interaction Based On Leap Motion In Interaction Desig

With the development of digital technology,it is necessary to rely on the traditional interaction modes of various contact devices.It has been difficult to meet the current needs of the users with the result of inflexible and poor interactional features.Meanwhile,with the continuous development and improvement of tangible interaction technology and the increasing popularization of the various portable tangible interaction devices,the tangible interaction technologies begin to be paid attention to tending to be a mainstream interaction mode in the field of interaction design,among which,gesture interaction is a widely mode used in this technology.The gesture interaction mode has evolved from the touch sensor at the early stage into the vision-based gesture recognition today in its development,which has greatly improved the flexibility and comfort.It also shows a wide development space in the such fields as art,education,and mechanical manipulation.On the one hand,our hand itself is such a complex flexible body structure that it is unstable visually.On the other hand,the different gestures are also symbol of multiple meaning and diversity.Therefore,the gesture interaction is a research topic with challenges.The key point of this paper is the application of gesture recognition in interaction design.First of all,the paper discusses the current development and interaction types of tangible technology,explaining its advantages and characteristics in human-computer interaction.Then,the tangible interaction mode is introduced through the most effective gesture interaction to analyze its interaction principle around the mainstream gesture interaction device Leap Motion and to conduct a further analysis and research on the procedures including the gesture movement and the gesture interaction.Finally,it focuses on the design principles and algorithm steps on gesture interaction to take a further analysis and demonstration on the interaction mode and user experience based on Leap Motion gesture recognition.After taking a series of systematic demonstration and case analysis,this paper forms a complete thread on the development and specific application of gesture interaction based on leap motion devices in interaction design.In the end,it proves the feasibility of the research topic theoretically through the real gesture interaction in practice and conclude the value of gesture recognition and the possible development direction in the future.
