The application of BIM technology in the field of construction engineering is gradually shifting from the basic concept stage to the deep application stage.Masonry structure,as one of the most common sub-branches of construction engineering,is an important part of buildings.At present,the degree of informatization in the field of masonry arrangement is low,and the applications of the combination of BIM technology and masonry structure are less.Under the background of intelligent construction and building industrialization,this paper uses BIM secondary development technology combined with intelligent optimization algorithm to propose an automatic optimal layout scheme for masonry wall bricks based on recursive arrangement strategy and BIM technology.Firstly,an analysis from different dimensions of the masonry wall is performed to find the best masonry arrangement scheme.In the vertical dimension,inspired by the packing problem,a mathematical model is established in combination with the Particle Swarm Optimization algorithm.A set of accurate and effective data is calculated as the basis of the automatic arrangement of bricks for subsequent research,and the partition boundary conditions of the lateral dimension are determined.In the lateral dimension,a rectangular structure partitioning cutting recursive arrangement algorithm is proposed,which divides the wall into four areas and two types of branches to determine the cutting length and placement of each brick.Then,the Dynamo application modules are developed for different dimensions of the masonry wall,which completed the writing of the program and expanded the Dynamo function library.Giving practical engineering significance to the results of algorithm operation,multi-platform work together to create a brick arrangement model under a single boundary condition.Secondly,based on dynamo secondary development technology,there’s a research of the dynamic multi-gauge coupling component arrangement algorithm,and the automatic arrangement of bilateral concrete blocks of structural columns and door and window openings is completed,laying a good foundation for more in-depth research later.Relying on the data sharing linkage,the application and algorithm of brick recursive arrangement scheme of multiple boundary conditions and island-type multi-constraint discontinuous interface is completed.With Dynamo’s secondary development technology,it automatically creates an optimal masonry arrangement model that includes doors,windows,openings,structural columns,and other boundary conditions.Finally,the research scheme is applied to a practical engineering case,and does a detailed design of the brick layout of masonry walls of different sizes,achieves the automatic statistics of brick cutting of masonry wall,and further confirms the feasibility and effectiveness of the automatic optimal layout scheme for masonry wall bricks based on recursive arrangement strategy and BIM technology.
