At present,China has become a global manufacturing and industrial leader in the world.At the same time,with the rapid development,a global economic recession triggered by COVID-19 is coming quietly.Many small and medium-sized enterprises are facing severe challenges.Only by continuously strengthening independent innovation and learning new management methods and technologies which can support to improve the level of enterprise quality management fundamentally.In the current severe epidemic situation,for EMS Electronic Manufacturing Services which companies with the business model of low volume and high mix,it is mandatory to consider the strengths and weakness of company and actual business situations plus global market opportunities and challenges,to explore and create the advanced product quality management system with scientific and effectiveness,to improve the product quality and service level,to narrow down the operation cost to minimize the adverse impact of the epidemic on enterprise management.Company can better respond to the changes of external environment and to be outstanding in the fierce market competition.This thesis started with elaboration of problems on S product built at F company on the grounds of voice of customer(VOC)and voice of business(VOB).Through history data analysis,identified station which is critical to S product quality(CTQ).And further screened the key input variables(KPIV)of SMT process by implementing the methods that including Pareto analysis,Fishbone and Cause&Effect Matrix.Base on which to further initiated source of variation(SOV)and design of experiment(DOE)studies to improve and optimize the key process parameters coupled with upgrading the measurement machine,so as to mitigate the cost of poor quality(COPQ)and enhance customer satisfaction.Thus,further come up with the practice to setup knowledge base of Failure Mode and Effects Analysis(FMEA)derived from lesson learned before,which is a living pool to integrate engineering requirements to manufacturing capabilities and instill guidance on future new projects,together with the promotion on early involvement in design for manufacturability(DFM)study during design stage,that strive for robust designs and value added on cost reduction and quality enhancement.Furthermore,this thesis initiated the studies on how to perfect talent mechanism and establish a continuous improvement culture within the enterprise to promote employees’initiative and motivation.With the long-effect mechanism established,the organization can achieve stable quality performance and continuously enhance customer satisfaction.The methodologies explored in this thesis that including early and in-depth involvement in DFM analysis with customers during new product design stage,implementing multiple quality toolkits and statistical technique for process window optimization and establishing continuous improvement culture in organizations,that can be used for reference for the companies that in the same industry and with similar problems under a LVHM environment.
