Abstract/Summary:
As a commonly used method of 3D mesh model reuse,pose transfer refers to only inputting reference model and source model to get target model with reference model pose and source model details.Most of these pose transfer methods are based on the low-frequency components of the Laplace matrix.Although these methods can achieve the purpose of the pose transfer,in order to maintain the characteristics of the source mesh model,it is necessary to solve the geometric constraint optimization equations on a large scale.However,using geometric agents can reduce the solving dimension and improve the efficiency of the pose transfer.In this paper,we propose two methods for the pose transfer of triangular mesh using geometric agent as follows.(1)the spectral pose transfer method using the deformation graph as the geometric agent.In this method,the source mesh vertices are forced to be identical as much as possible with the results of the pose transfer based on the coupled quasi-harmonic bases,and the same time,the Laplacian coordinates of the deformation graph are kept,and then the result of the low frequency pose transfer can be obtained,and the result is optimized by applying the embedded deformation algorithm.After that,the local meshes of insufficient secondary pose learning are found by observation and then are divided into the sub-meshes.And the secondary pose is transferred by using the low frequency pose transfer method on these sub-meshes.This method can effectively improve the efficiency of pose transfer and the quality of the generated target mesh.(2)the pose transfer method using skeleton as geometric agent.Firstly,the hierarchical skeleton of reference mesh and source mesh with semantic information are generated by using the con-tours of the low-frequency components of the Laplace matrix.Secondly,we simplify two skeletons and construct isomorphic skeletons according to level attributes of these skeletons and the corresponding points which selected by user interaction.And the pose transfer result is obtained by using the skeleton skinning technology to deform the source mesh through the geometric transformation from the source mesh skeleton to the reference mesh skeleton.Finally,in order to improve the quality of the target mesh which is generated,the geometric constraints of keeping the Laplacian coordinates are introduced.Experimental results show that this method can obtain a higher quality target mesh by only transfer once,and reduce a large number of user interaction processes and improve the efficiency of pose transfer.
