The reform of basic education has put forward new requirements for teachers’ professional development.Senior and special teachers are the leaders in the teaching team.At present,there is little research on the professional growth of senior and special teachers of primary school Chinese.Studying their professional growth will help to give full play to the professional demonstration and leading role of famous teachers.By exploring what can be used for reference in the process of their growth,we can provide practical implementation plans and inspiration for more teachers’ professional growth,so as to promote the construction of high-quality primary school Chinese teachers and promote the reform and development of basic education.This research adopts the case study method,taking T teacher in S Primary School as the research object,through interviews,observations,works analysis and other methods to collect first-hand information,analyze and refine the professional growth process of T teacher and the exploration of Chinese education and teaching in primary schools,and summarize the main factors that affect their professional growth,so as to bring inspiration and suggestions to teachers(especially young teachers),education departments and school administrators.The research found that the professional growth of teacher T is affected by both internal and external factors: the internal factors specifically include the personality trait of unremitting progress,profound cultural heritage,solid and excellent teaching skills and steadfast and dedicated scientific research spirit;External factors include social education environment,education administration department,school environment,family environment,key events and important others.Based on the analysis of case data,this study believes that the following aspects can be taken to promote the professional growth of primary school Chinese teachers: first,individual teachers need to take the initiative to improve,constantly cultivate their professional quality,and establish correct professional values;Second,schools should create a good working atmosphere for teachers and provide scientific and reasonable opportunities for further training;Third,the educational administrative department should attach importance to the training of teacher education and establish a system of teacher assistance;Fourth,family members should provide support and help to teachers to create a harmonious family atmosphere;Fifth,grasp and make good use of "key events" and "important others".
