A speech is a speech in which the speaker expresses his thoughts and views by means of certain silent language such as gestures and expressionsPoint,to achieve information exchange and express their own emotional exchange activities.In the " expression and communication " section of the "full-time compulsory education Chinese curriculum standard(2022 edition)" in the upper primary school,corresponding requirements and teaching suggestions are put forward for cultivating students ’ speech ability.The oral communication section in the primary school Chinese textbook compiled by the ministry also compiles content related to speech.Thus,the cultivation of speech ability is getting more and more attention.The purpose of this study is to analyze the current situation of speech ability of grade 6 students in different schools,and put forward corresponding teaching strategies to improve speech teaching and improve students ’ speech ability.Based on the curriculum standards and related literature,this study uses Delphi method to consult experts in the field of oral communication and Chinese teaching,defines speech ability and its components,and divides speech ability into discourse construction ability and expression and communication ability.Among them,discourse construction ability includes opening point ability,material organization ability,wording ability,logical thinking ability and ending sublimation ability.Communication and communication ability includes phonetic ability and non-linguistic ability.In this study,20 sixth-grade students from three different levels of primary schools in S city were selected as the research objects,and they were asked to give speeches and record the theme of ’ revolutionary heroes in my eyes ’within 5 minutes.After transcribing the text of the speech video content,this study uses N-vivo11 to encode and analyze the speech content based on the constituent elements of speech ability and coding theory.The study found that in terms of discourse construction ability,the students of the three schools have certain development in material organization ability,wording and sentence making ability and logical thinking ability,but there are also problems of single opening and ending forms and serious homogenization of speech materials.The lack of communication and communication skills,there is a single tone and lack of fluency,lack of non-verbal behavior and other issues,because the basic knowledge of speech is not solid,the support material is not rich.In addition,the obvious differences in the ability to make sentences between schools also show that there are great differences in language codes among the three schools.In view of the above problems,this study puts forward some countermeasures to improve students ’ speech ability,such as paying attention to speech knowledge and skills,increasing the reserve of supporting materials and converting teaching language codes.
