Research purposeUnder the background of the spirit of the Healthy China Conference held at the20 th National People’s Congress,a new round of discussion on health has been launched. It is of great significance to explore the physical health, mental health and social adaptation of adolescents based on the holistic health view. However,in recent years, the physical fitness and mental health status of adolescents is not optimistic, mainly including overweight, obesity, myopia, abnormal posture and other physical health problems,as well as mania, paranoia, depression, pessimism and other psychological adverse emotions. To discuss how to solve the problem of physical health decline and mental sub-health of adolescents has always been the focus of the society, especially the academic circle. Therefore, this study takes the holistic health concept as the theoretical basis, combined with the promotion of healthy China construction emphasized in the report of the 20 th National People’s Congress.Safeguarding people’s health and improving the spirit of the meeting on people’s health promotion policies.Mainly through the investigation and analysis of adolescents’ health, physical fitness and mental health, further reveals the correlation and predictive relationship between the two, provides scientific theoretical reference for the majority of teenagers’ parents and school physical education curriculum makers, and is committed to the improvement of adolescents’ health, physical fitness and mental health.Research methodThis study adopts the method of literature, test, questionnaire and mathematical statistics.(1)Search keywords in Chinese and English literature databases such as CNKI,VIP,school library,Wanfang,Baidu Academic,Springer and Science Direct.(2)Large sample sampling was conducted through stratified sampling and cluster sampling, with a total sample size of 657 people. The students selected for the first time were screened, those who did not meet the screening criteria were excluded, and the final sample size included in the statistics was 423 after the screening of missing data values and other operations. The test content mainly includes BMI,vital capacity, grip strength, standing long jump,sit-up,sitting forward bend and other six items, corresponding to body composition, cardiopulmonary fitness, upper limb muscle fitness, lower limb muscle fitness, trunk(core)muscle fitness, flexibility fitness and other healthy physical fitness.(3)The questionnaire was divided into three parts: Demographic Information Questionnaire,Life Satisfaction Scale and Achenbach Youth Self-Rating Scale.(4)Through the data collected by Epi Data3.1 Chinese version of the software entry scale, the physical fitness test data and the mental health measurement results of the student were corresponded one by one,and the software function was used to encode the data, define the missing value and other operations.SPSS24.0 was used for statistical description, correlation analysis, independent sample t test, regression analysis and other data analysis steps.Research results(1)Fitness of healthy body.BMI of 20.09±2.40,vital capacity of 3552.24±1014.39(ml),grip strength of 33.31±8.53(kg),standing long jump of 2.18±0.23(m),sit-up of55.31±8.15(times/min),The seated flexion was 11.65±5.91(cm).There were significant age and sex differences in the six dimensions of physical fitness.Only body composition and core muscle fitness had significant differences in the level of paternal education.Except for no significant difference in upper limb muscle fitness, other dimensions showed statistical difference in maternal education level.(2)Mental health.Life satisfaction score was 4.93±1.02 on a scale of 1-7;The self-rated depression score was 1.38±0.31 on a scale of 1 to 3.The life satisfaction and self-rated depression of adolescents were statistically different in age and parental education level, while there was gender difference in self-rated depression and no gender difference in life satisfaction.(3)There was no significant correlation between body composition, flexibility and mental health(P > 0.05).Core muscle fitness was not significantly correlated with self-rated depression(P > 0.05),but was significantly correlated with life satisfaction(P< 0.01).Cardiopulmonary fitness was significantly correlated with self-rated depression(P < 0.01)and life satisfaction(P < 0.05).Upper limb muscle fitness was significantly correlated with self-rated depression(P < 0.01)and life satisfaction(P < 0.01).Lower limb muscle fitness was significantly correlated with self-rated depression(P < 0.05)and life satisfaction(P < 0.01).(4)Regression analysis results. When the dependent variable was life satisfaction,R2=0.326,the regression equation was well fitted,VIFs were all less than 5,F=33.528,P < 0.001.When the dependent variable was self-rated depression,R2=0.32,the regression equation was well fitted,VIFs were all less than 5,F=32.664,P < 0.001.Research conclusion(1)The results confirm the rationality of the holistic health view.Adolescents’ levels of physical fitness and mental health were moderate, consistent in all indicators except body composition, which indicated that a small number of adolescents were at risk of becoming overweight or obese.(2)Social stratification has an impact on both physical fitness level and mental health level of adolescents.(3)Age may be one of the factors affecting the mental health of adolescents. The mental health level of adolescents at different ages is inconsistent. However,in terms of gender, only self-rated depression has a difference, and there is no significant gender difference in life satisfaction.(4)There was no significant correlation between body composition and positive and negative emotions.Cardiopulmonary fitness, upper and lower limb muscle fitness and flexibility fitness were correlated with life satisfaction of adolescents.Cardiopulmonary fitness and upper and lower limb muscle fitness were correlated with self-rated depression of adolescents.(5)Cardiopulmonary fitness and muscle fitness(including upper extremities, lower extremities and trunk core)can predict adolescents’ positive emotion level, while only upper and lower extremity muscle fitness can predict adolescents’ negative emotion level.
