Comparative Study On The Talent Training System Of Table Tennis In China And Japa

How to establish a sound system for the training of competitive table tennis talents in China have a bearing on the sustainable development of Chinese sport.This paper uses literature,expert interviews,fieldwork,questionnaires and mathematical and statistical methods to compare and analyse the table tennis talent development systems of China and Japan.The comparison includes the training management system,the training pathway,the selection of athletes,the training of athletes,the cultural learning,the competition,the coaching staff,the funding and other elements,in order to compare the commonalities and differences between the two countries,and to achieve the purpose of learning from their strengths and complementing their weaknesses.Therefore,China Table Tennis Talent Training System will be improved continuously.The results of the study show that 1)China is still under the "national system" in the training of competitive table tennis talent,and many problems have been revealed,such as the lack of outstanding talent,uneven regional development,and a single source of funding,etc.2)China has a wide range of institutions for the training of competitive table tennis talent,and each has different training objectives.Each athlete is faced with the problem of choosing which path to take and has to consider early on whether or not to become a professional athlete,so there is a tendency to not be able to combine schooling and training at the same time or for many good talent to ’take a wrong turn’,whereas in Japan has been building a talent pipeline with schools as the main venue for developing athletes.3)The goal of training Chinese table tennis athletes is The new theory of "the integration of P.E.education is being improved gradually so that the target system becomes more scientific.Japan has fully integrated the ’physical’ into the ’educational’ system,which is an advanced model worth exploring and learning from.
