Research On The Development Problems And Countermeasures Of Senior Citizen Universities In S City Under The Background Of Population Agin

The report of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China proposed implementing the national strategy of actively responding to the aging population and developing elderly care and the industry for retired elder.As of November 2020,the population aged 60 or above was about 264 million,18.7 percent of the total population,and is growing by more than 20 million people a year,the aging process of the population is deepening.Education for the aged is an important part of the whole lifelong education system.To promote the high-quality development of education for the elderly and meet the spiritual and cultural needs of the elderly is one of the important tasks of implementing the Party’s 20 Great Spirits and building Chinese-style modernization.The university for the aged,as the most important form of education for the aged,undoubtedly embodies the society’s more care for the elderly.The University for the Elderly in S city began in 1989.After more than 30 years,the school has been growing in scale with a good momentum of development.It has opened up a new situation in education and has produced good social benefits.There are issues that need to be addressed.This study in the background of ageing of population,uses stakeholder theory,resource dependence theory and other theories,including interview and questionnaire method。There are some problems,such as over-reliance on a single resource,the contradiction between supply and demand still prominent,teaching quality needs to be improved,and curriculum construction needs to be strengthened.By drawing inspiration from experience and addressing the Problems of S city university for the elderly,the study proposes four optimization strategies.First of all,it is necessary to strengthen joint management and improve the mechanism;Secondly,it is to explore and guide more subjects to participate in it;Thirdly,we should innovate educational reform to improve the level of running schools;Finally,we should strengthen active and healthy aging education.Accordingly,form a characteristic the university for the ederly in S City development of a new model,which can provide support services for quality learning,thus actively respond to population aging.
