| Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder(ADHD)is a common childhood mental disorder characterized by symptoms of inattention, hyperactivity, and impulsivity.ADHD not only has negative effects on the physical and mental health development of children but also brings difficulties in adapting to the family and school environments. This study focuses on the positive behavior support intervention for ADHD children in the family context and explores the effectiveness of the intervention plan in the family setting. The aim is to provide a starting point and reference for psychological workers in their behavioral interventions for ADHD children in the family environment. The study used a withdrawal experiment(A-B-M)design to conduct functional assessments of three case behavior problems and design personalized positive behavior support plans for families.Firstly,a baseline period(A)was established, and with the collaboration of parents, children’s problem behaviors in the family setting were collected. Then, target intervention behaviors were identified, including ignoring, yelling, and restlessness. After functional assessment of the target behavior, personalized positive behavior support plans were developed, combining four aspects of parental support, antecedent control, consequence management, and behavior training, and implemented(B).Finally,a withdrawal period(M)was conducted for tracking records. The study found that:(1)positive behavior support plans could reduce ADHD children’s problem behaviors in the family setting, with maintenance effects;(2)positive behavior support had significant effects on intervention in school aged ADHD children;(3)positive behavior support plans could improve parenting stress to some extent. This study provides empirical evidence for positive behavior support interventions for ADHD children in the family environment and has some guidance for helping ADHD children better adapt to the family and school environment and improve their quality of life. |
