Learning burnout refers to students’ comprehensive psychological performance of emotional exhaustion,dehumanization and low sense of accomplishment due to long-term learning pressure and lack of psychological energy and motivation in the learning process.There have already been many theoretical studies on learning burnout,but few studies are on intervention.Mindfulness training has proved to be very effective in the intervention of learning burnout.Mindfulness is the conscious awareness of all experiences occurring in the present moment without any judgment.It is closely related to emotions and behaviors,and has a positive impact on learning process-related skills such as emotion regulation and stress management.In view of this,the study probes into the intervention effect of mindfulness training on learning burnout of Senior One students on the basis of understanding the current situation and the relationship between learning burnout and mindfulness.This study mainly consists of two parts.Using Wu Yan’s Adolescent Learning Burnout Scale,and Deng,Liu,Rodriguez and Xia’s revised Five-Factor Mindfulness Scale as research tools,the first part chooses 520 Senior One students as the research subjects to explore the current situation and the relationship between students’ mindfulness and learning burnout.Based on Part One,the second part selects 40% students with high learning burnout from two homogeneous classes(about 60 students per class),one group as the experimental group,and the other as the control group.The experimental group is given mindfulness training for 8weeks,while the control group is discussed according to the set theme during the same period.After the end of all intervention parts,the intervention effects of mindfulness training on Senior One students’ learning burnout are compared and analyzed according to the research data.The conclusions are as follows:(1)The learning burnout of Senior One students in Zhangjiakou is above medium level,and the low sense of accomplishment of girls is significantly higher than that of boys.Besides,the physical and mental exhaustion level of the only child is significantly higher than that of the non-only child.(2)The mindfulness level of Senior One students in Zhangjiakou is above medium level.The inactivity level of boys is significantly higher than that of girls.The perceived activity level of the non-only child is significantly higher than that of the only child,and the inactivity level of the only child is significantly higher than that of the non-only child.(3)The mindfulness level of Senior One students has a significant negative prediction effect on learning burnout.(4)Mindfulness training can effectively reduce the learning burnout level of Senior One students.
