China’s economy is growing rapidly in recent years,but accompanied by environmental pollution,energy shortage and other problems.*** Major strategic decision of "carbon neutralization".It is conceivable that the party and the government are determined to promote green ecological construction.As a typical enterprise of resource consumption and environmental damage,polluting enterprises bear the burden of green transformation,and should take the lead in the sustainable development path of energy conservation and emission reduction and green environmental protection.One of the important carriers to realize such a development path is green innovation.Green innovation is affected by many factors.The existing research mainly focuses on government policies such as government subsidies and government regulation,as well as social impacts such as resource capacity and public opinion guidance.Less attention is paid to the internal people of the enterprise,such as the senior management team who has direct control over enterprise decisionmaking,who directly determine the development trend and policy response of the enterprise.Based on the high-level echelon theory,enterprise management and decision-making are influenced by the senior management team.The gender,age and education level of senior management team are important background characteristics,which will affect senior management’s thinking cognition and decision-making judgment.Feminist Care Ethics shows that compared with men,women pay more attention to the sense of responsibility and care spirit,and enterprise green innovation is an important carrier for enterprises to avoid punishment risks and make social contributions.Therefore,this paper has certain practical significance.The background of this study is introduced at the beginning of this study,puts forward why this research should be carried out,and then introduces the theoretical significance,research content and research methods of this study.Then,this paper combs the functional factors and research status of female executives and the influencing factors of enterprise green innovation,including the theoretical basis of female executives,the current situation of female executives’ influence on enterprises and the related influencing factors of enterprise green innovation.Combined with the existing research and literature review,this paper puts forward three basic hypotheses on the impact of female executives on enterprise green innovation,namely,the proportion of female executives,the age of female executives and the educational level of female executives have a positive correlation with enterprise green innovation.This paper refers to the classified management directory of environmental protection verification industry of listed companies issued by the Ministry of environmental protection of China in 2008 to screen the samples of heavily polluting enterprises.As for how to measure the level of green innovation,this paper uses the number of green patents applied by enterprises.The number of green patents comes from the green patent research database in CSMAR,and the relevant data from 2007 to 2018 are selected as the research sample data for empirical analysis to test the research hypothesis.This paper studies and analyzes the relationship between female executives and enterprise green innovation through descriptive statistical analysis,correlation analysis and fixed effect regression analysis,and selects executive compensation incentive and enterprise R & D strength as regulatory variables and intermediary variables to enrich the impact mechanism of the research,Then,the Tobit model and the explanatory variables with a lag period are used to test the robustness,and the heterogeneity is analyzed according to the nature of enterprise property rights and the region where the enterprise is located.The study found that the proportion,age and educational level of female executives have a significant positive impact on enterprise green innovation,and it can be found that executive compensation has a positive regulatory effect on the impact of female executives and enterprise green innovation.One of the impact mechanisms of female executives on enterprise green innovation is to improve the level of enterprise green innovation by promoting enterprise R & D.Moreover,there are differences in the impact of female executives on enterprise green innovation.The promotion effect of female executives on green innovation in state-owned enterprises is significantly greater than that in non-state-owned enterprises,and the promotion effect of female executives on green innovation in enterprises in the eastern and central regions is greater than that in enterprises in the western region.Through the empirical research on the relationship between female executives and enterprise green innovation,this paper not only complements the research on the influencing factors of enterprise green innovation,but also further complements the research on the influence between executive characteristics and enterprise behavior,and puts forward suggestions for enterprises to optimize the employment mechanism of executive team and the government to formulate more diversified policies to realize the policy of green development.
