Education is to improve our people’s comprehensive quality,the important way to promote the all-round development of people,is the important foundation of national revitalization,social progress,and higher education is an important symbol of national development level and potential,no doubt,promote China’s economic and social development,improve the comprehensive national strength and international competitiveness,in the end depends on talent.As China’s higher education entered the popularization stage,"difference" period is the key to higher education development and reform to improve the quality of higher education and internationalization level,diversified demand to meet the economic and social development of high-level talents,do a good job in the new era of first-class higher education,strengthen personnel training,promote the development of our country modernization process.And minority higher education is an important part of higher education in China,China’s higher education policy for ethnic minority areas,the minority examinee "preferential policies",to promote the education fair and the coordinated development of minority higher education,in recent years,parts of cancel minority examinee points or reduced points,so as to improve the quality of minority higher education.Since the development of the minority higher education in China,the effect is remarkable,minority higher education level gradually catch up with the national average,but the 55 higher education gap between the minorities,therefore,the development of higher education level,a more comprehensive grasp of minority higher education development,help to better ethnic work,promote ethnic unity and coordinated development of all ethnic higher education,the study of this paper has certain practical significance and value.This paper takes 55 ethnic minorities and eight provinces and regions as the research object,using the national statistics and the fifth,sixth and seventh census data,the descriptive statistical analysis and longitudinal comparative study,and according to the minority education data of different age groups,analyze the minority population higher education stage development process.Established multiple regression model,the 55 ethnic minorities and eight provinces studied the influence factors of higher education development,and according to the minority education level,using the clustering analysis method to classify 55 ethnic minorities,the corresponding research conclusion,finally put forward the ethnic minorities and eight provinces of higher education high quality development countermeasures.The research conclusion of this paper can be summarized as the following points:1.Ethnic minority population has rapid growth,cross-regional turnover increase,aggregation phenomenon obvious characteristics,gender structure in balance,age structure is in a state of demographic dividend,and most minority population distribution in the western region,with the implementation of the crucial strategy,poverty reduction in the western region,economic development level is growth,lead to the western minority population to other regions migration will decrease.2.In terms of education status,minority education stage of education level gradually catch up with the national average,minority population illiteracy decreased significantly,the average fixed number of year of education and every hundreds of people by higher education population improved significantly,most minority education level improved significantly,the gap between some ethnic groups and the national average.3.Minority higher education level development process,the development of minority higher education level in China,but still lags behind the national average,more than ninety percent of the minority during the 1980~2020 higher education development level growth trend,"much starker choices-and graver consequences-in" period is the key period,the key period in promoting and the support of education policy,social demand ethnic groups improve education level,at the end of "much starker choices-and graver consequences-in" period,the ethnic higher education development level greatly improved.From the perspective of the development process of higher education in the eight ethnic provinces and regions,only Inner Mongolia exceeded the national average level between 1980 to 2020,while the development level of higher education in Yunnan,Tibet,Guizhou and Guangxi lagged behind the national average level.4.In terms of influencing factors,the urbanization rate and the degree of population agglomeration(discrete index)have a significant impact on the proportion of higher education population in all ethnic groups;the population turnover rate in each region has a positive impact on the development of higher education in the eight provinces and regions of ethnic groups.5.According to the minority population of education,the results show that the education gap between ethnic groups,and obvious regional agglomeration phenomenon,only 13 minority education level reached developed level,and dongxiang,door,Tibetan and no four minority education level seriously behind the national average level,mainly distributed in the northwest region.According to the corresponding research conclusion,China’s ethnic minorities and eight provinces higher education development can build up the Chinese nation community consciousness as the main line,improve and perfect the talent training system,innovative talent training mode,actively into the regional economic and social development,promote the transformation of scientific and technological achievements,in view of the higher education level seriously backward minorities intensify support,so as to promote the balanced development of ethnic higher education.
