| Among the complex relationships in human society,the gender relationship is the most basic and direct relationship.It permeates all areas of current social life and affects the coordination of various social relations.Therefore,the harmony of gender relations is not only the premise of social harmony,but also an important driving force for sustainable social development.Youth is the hope and pillar of the country’s future,and youth is a key stage in the development of personal identity.In this process,people will form their own gender identity and develop their own values system.The school education of the junior high school corresponding to this stage can be guided by educating the youth to help them form a positive self-identity and correct gender attitudes.Chinese textbooks contain the essence of the national culture,reflecting the concept of talent training in a country.Gender concepts in Chinese textbooks have a significant impact on the formation of youth gender perspectives.Therefore,it is the most economical and effective way to transmit correct and equal gender awareness to students through textbooks.Based the above,it is meaningful and valuable to explore how to build a holistic view of textbooks,and make the use of gender representation in Chinese textbooks in order to promote the all-round development of youth and the harmonious development of national gender.This study takes the junior high school Chinese textbook of Nani as the example.It is divided into several sections to explore how gender is represented in textbooks and examine whether there is gender bias,and its effects.In the introduction part will put forward the background,significance and methodology of this paper are firstly explained.and through the analysis and interpretation of the past research to define the core concepts of this article "Chinese textbooks and textbook of Nani" and "gender equality education".The main text is divided into three chapters.The first chapter summarizes scholars’ research on "gender bias in textbooks",and constructs four categories of analysis in this study,namely "gender imbalance","stereotype","linguistic bias",and " invisiblility".At the same time,it also explores the impact of gender bias in textbooks on society and students of both genders,which is different from previous studies that only explored gender representation in textbooks from the perspective of women.The aim is to achieve "true" gender equality.The second chapter applies the previous of gender bias category analysis provides a specific analysis of the organization and content of textbook of Nani.The first section analyzes the age and gender of articles in textbooks,the gender distribution of authors and the main characters,and concludes that there is a gender imbalance in the organization of textbook of Nani.The second section uses the previous gender bias category to analyze the deep meaning of the textbook article content.The third section proposes an overall overview of gender presentation in junior high school Chinese textbooks based on the analysis above.The third chapter will summarize the content of the previous article.Through the analysis of the textbooks,it can be found that there is gender bias in the junior high school Chinese textbook of Nani.Therefore,based on the previous research results,the author discusses three aspects of teacher training,textbook content editing,and textbook inspection,and puts forward thoughts and suggestions.Then,I designed an immersive teaching program with the theme of "no gender difference,live yourself"based on the specific explanation of the content of gender representation in textbooks and the suggestions for the reform of gender representation in textbooks.Lastly,the feedback and evaluation obtained from the teaching practice are integrated and reflected,in order to provide ideas and experiences for the cultivation of gender perspectives in middle school teaching.Finally,it briefly summarizes the main content and central idea of this paper,and proposes other research perspectives and development space for junior high school textbooks,expecting textbook writers and users to further improve and explore the gender presentation of textbooks and make good use of textbooks to cultivate students’ correct gender concept and give full play to the function of textbooks to build morality. |
