| Throughout the evolution of human civilization,what remains unchanged is that parents are the first teachers of their children,and family is the first classroom of human beings.Family education is the foundation of school education as well as social education.As the main executors of family education,parents’ upbringing quality is closely related to the quality of family education and the development of children.Therefore,it is necessary to carry out parenting education to solve parents’parenting confusion,help them to clarify their roles and responsibilities,improve the quality of parenting,and become effective parents.However,there is a mismatch between supply and demand in existing parental education activities.In order to avoid wasting resources,practical and targeted parental education activities are provided,and it is an important basis to clarify the parental education needs of children’s parents under different backgrounds.Based on this,the author carried out this study.In the form of questionnaire survey and interview,1100 parents of children in six sample kindergartens in Shaanxi Province were selected as the research objects by the principle of targeted sampling.Among them,kindergartens A and B are government agencies’ kindergartens and affiliated kindergartens of universities in first-tier cities respecti vely.C Garden and D Garden are the government-run gardens of the county and the supporting gardens of the community respectively.E and F are township public kindergartens and village kindergartens respectively.The parental education needs of parents of 3-6 years old children were investigated by using the "Parent Education Needs Questionnaire",and the social classes of parents were divided according to certain standards.SPSS 24.0 was used to analyze the survey results,and the status quo and differences of parental education needs of parents of children were analyzed.Two parents from the bottom,middle and top of the society were randomly selected as the interviewee to further explore the real reasons behind the demands of parents.Through the study,the following conclusions are drawn:(1)Parents of 3-6 years old children have strong demands for parental education,but each has its own emphasis.From high to low,content needs are knowledge and ability needs of raising children,communication and adjustment needs and family management needs.In terms of mode demand,the demand for training institutions is concentrated in kindergartens;The demand for training personnel is concentrated in "early childhood education experts" and "excellent kindergarten teachers";The selection of the frequency of development concentrates on "one and once";The selection of the training market focuses on less than two hours.(2)Parents of children from different social classes have significant differences in parental education needs,which are reflected in the differences in content needs and ways needs.The reason for these differences lies in the differences in social capital owned by parents of different social classes.(3)Among the demographic variables,the occupation and educational background of parents have a significant impact on parents’ demands for parental education.In addition,this study was to explore the different social stratum 3-6 years old children’s parents parenting education demand situation and the reason,from three aspects:content,form,support system Suggestions and measures are put forward:Suggestions:(1)Conform the content and form of parenting education according to the practical needs of parents of different social classes:pay attention to the differences in content needs of parents of different social classes,use mass media,enrich the form of parenting education activities,meet the practical needs of parents,and flexibly arrange the time,place and frequency;(2)Increase power and power,pay attention to the needs of parental education for the disadvantaged class:correct the educational concept,guide the needs to develop in a reasonable direction,provide accurate assistance,provide social support and compensation,construct the discourse power of parents,and promote the awakening of parents themselves;(3)Forming a support system for parenthood education in the whole society:intensifying publicity efforts to enhance parents’understanding of parenthood education,improving the legal system,ensuring financial support,promoting the construction of professional teachers for parenthood education,and establishing a parenthood education system with kindergartens as the main channel and participation of various institutions. |
