With the continuous development of economy and society,critical thinking has become the focus of talent training in China,which is also a key thinking in scientific thinking,one of the core qualities of 《Biology Curriculum Standards for Senior High Schools(2017 edition,revised in 2020)》.Therefore,how to cultivate students’ critical thinking effectively in biology class is an urgent problem to be solved.With the deepening of the new curriculum reform,the penetrating teaching model combining scientific modeling and scientific demonstration(SNP model)has gradually attracted the attention of the majority of researchers.They believe that this model not only meets the requirements of the new curriculum reform,but also can improve students ’critical thinking in theory,but it still lacks practical evidence.Based on this,this study uses SNP model to carry out teaching practice in high school biology class,so as to explore the influence of this model on students’ critical thinking.This paper firstly investigates and analyzes the critical thinking skills and tendency level of senior one students by using the questionnaire method,and selects the class to carry out the teaching practice.On this basis,combined with the results of teacher interviews,the teaching process of SNP model is improved,which is mainly manifested in the subdivision of the teaching implementation stage,the decomposition of core problems,the recycling of modeling and demonstration,etc.In addition,the corresponding teaching practice scheme is designed according to this,and the control class and practice class are respectively carried out the conventional teaching and the teaching based on SNP model.After the practice,the author systematically analyzed the critical thinking changes of the control class and the practice class before and after the practice by means of questionnaire survey and interview.By analyzing the survey results of students’ critical thinking status,this study found that the overall critical thinking skills and critical thinking tendency of the test subjects were at a negative level(weak and weaker levels),and different classes and genders had significant differences in the total score and some traits of critical thinking tendency.Based on the analysis of the results of pre and post tests,student interviews and reflective writing works of the two classes,it can be seen that,compared with the control class,the overall critical thinking skills and some critical thinking tendency traits of the practice class have been greatly improved,and the students’ scientific argument writing ability has also been improved to some extent,and they generally have a positive attitude towards the application of this model.In addition,this study also found a positive correlation between students’ critical thinking skills scores and biology scores to some extent.In conclusion,this study believes that the SNP model has a good promotion effect on the cultivation of students ’critical thinking,and teachers can try to apply it to actual classroom teaching,but problems such as class hours and students ’ability still need to be considered. |
