"General education has a college entrance examination,vocational education has a competition",vocational school skills competition has become an important indicator to test the development of vocational education.The mental health of students who participate in skills training is closely related to their training status,but relevant research at home and abroad needs to be improved.Therefore,starting from the theory of self-determination,this study explores the correlation factors affecting students’ training engagement and learning burnout in the process of skill training,and attempts to improve their training status through mindfulness intervention.This study is the first to carry out research on vocational school skills training from the perspective of self-determination theory,and expands the research direction of vocational skills competition.The research results provide a relatively new idea for improving the training status of skill students,and have certain application value for the practice of improving students’ training input status.This study mainly includes two parts,the first study is to conduct a questionnaire survey of 227 vocational school skills training students in Jiangsu Province to explore the correlation and mechanism of basic psychological needs,training motivation,training emotions,training input,and learning burnout.On this basis,Study 2intervened on the basic psychological needs and positive and negative emotional levels of 16 skills training students through mindfulness training,and achieved certain intervention effects.The results of the study are as follows:(1)There were no significant differences in gender and grade level among vocational school skills training students in basic psychological needs,self-det ermination motivation,positive/negative emotions,and academic engagement/bur nout.(2)Basic psychological needs can be satisfied and can positively predict autonomous motivation,positive emotions and learning input.Basic psychological needs are frustrated,negative prediction control motivation,positive prediction of negative emotions and learning burnout.(3)Autonomous motivation and positive emotions play a chain mediating role between the satisfaction of basic psychological needs and learning input.Control motivation and negative emotions act as a chain mediator between frustration of basic psychological needs and learning burnout.(4)Mindfulness training may help students improve their basic psychological needs and training mood in daily training.
