Social Worker Interventions In Community Social Organizations From The Perspective Of Resource Dependency

In recent years,China has been promoting the modernization of its social governance system and governance capacity,moving the centre of social governance down to the substratum,where the effectiveness of social governance is closely related to the participation of community residents.As a result,community social organizations,as the most basic platform for residents to participate in community affairs,have received considerable attention from the state.Community social organisations have continued to grow in number because of the strong government assistance,but there are problems such as a low proportion of public interest organizations,insufficient participation by the public,insufficient endogenous motivation and insufficient role to play.Therefore,there is still a need for continuous exploration to effectively improve the quality of community social organizations,improve the service capacity of community social organizations and realize the governance pattern of "common construction,common governance and sharing".Based on this,this paper selects the "Min Jing Le" community social organization in community S as the research object,and explores the action path for social work to nurture community social organizations from three aspects: the importance of resources,the degree of autonomy of resources and the substitutability of resources in the resource dependency theory.Firstly,based on the characteristics of the organization’s development,social workers use advocacy to help the community social organization understand and apply policy knowledge and obtain legalised resources;then social workers use their professional capacity to help the community social organization gather human resources and link to material and financial resources needed for the organization’s development.Secondly,in order to increase the level of resources at the disposal of community social organizations,social workers help to increase the autonomy of social organizations by defining their staff structure,developing their organizational systems and enhancing their professional capacity.Finally,the social workers support the MJL community social organizations in finding alternative resources in order to change their sole dependence on certain resources.In the specific breeding process,the community social organizations have gained access to important resources for their survival and development,and have broadened their access to alternative resources,while having some autonomy over them.In general,the autonomy of community social organizations has been enhanced to a certain extent.However,in the process of cultivation,there are still problems such as the imperfect system of sustainable development of organizations,the conflicting roles of social workers and the overkill of organizational dependency.To address these problems,the author proposes countermeasures in three areas: improving the assessment mechanism,improving the professional capacity of social workers and clarifying the relationship between the various subjects in community social organizations.At the same time,the process of nurturing community social organizations will be summarized,with a view to providing experience for subsequent social workers to nurture community social organizations,thereby improving the quality of community social organizations.
