Curriculum Standards of Geography for Senior High Schools(2017 Edition,2020revision)put forward that "investigation,experiment and investigation are important research methods of geography,as well as important learning methods of geography curriculum" in the part of the core accomplishment of the subject--geography practice force.The investigation mentioned in the part of geographical practical power mainly refers to the investigation of outdoor natural environment.Students are encouraged to go out of the classroom,discover and solve practical problems in real geographical environment,and pay attention to the combination of theory and practice.In 2016,11 departments including the Ministry of Education issued Opinions on Promoting Research Trips for primary and secondary School Students,which pointed out that research trips should be integrated with comprehensive practical activities as an important part of the teaching plan of primary and secondary school education,so that it could be deeply integrated with school courses and further boost the development of research trips.Geography research travel is a key measure to construct comprehensive practical curriculum,aiming at reforming exam-oriented education step by step and promoting all-round development of quality education.From the two perspectives of the design and implementation of research trips,this paper investigates and analyzes the design and implementation of geography research trips in some middle schools in Xi ’an by using questionnaire and interview methods.In view of the problems of current research trips reflected in the questionnaires and interviews,referring to the existing theoretical studies of geography research trips,According to the curriculum standards,Opinions and other documents,this paper puts forward the design strategy of research trips from the design principles and basic links of geography research trips of senior high school.Taking "Field Practice in Shaanxi Cuihuashan National Geological Park" organized by the teaching school as a case,it designs and implements related research activities.The following research results were obtained:(1)The implementation status of geography research travel activities in Xi ’an senior high school.Through teacher interviews,it is found that some front-line geography teachers have never organized and participated in geography research activities,and some have not designed research activities.Many teachers who organized related activities paid attention to the outcome evaluation of students’ research achievements,but the process evaluation was lacking.It is found that most of the students are more interested in the travel activities of postgraduate study,and postgraduate study has a positive impact on students’ geography learning.However,there are also some problems in the implementation of the study trip,such as the limited time of the study trip;Some students have low enthusiasm;Some students pointed out that geography knowledge and activities in research do not conform to their own interests,and lack of summary and reflection consciousness;Students also pointed out that there were too many research tasks,including the task of later presentation of results.(2)Design strategies for travel activities of high school geography research.Mainly from the research travel design principles and basic links of two aspects of the elaboration.The design principles mainly include the principle of student subjectivity,the principle of geography discipline,the principle of localism and the principle of fun.The basic links include selecting research topics,proposing research objectives,clarifying research contents and routes,designing research tasks,formulating requirements for results display and evaluation,reflecting and summarizing,etc.(3)Case design of high school geography research travel activities.Based on the core quality of geography proposed in the new curriculum standard,combined with the existing research theories,this paper redesigned the research program of "Field Practice in Shaanxi Cuihuashan National Geoparks" in view of the problems in the previous research trips.This school-based research program has been improved from the aspects of research theme,research location,research route,research objectives,research methods,research activity forms,research equipment(tools),research process,display and evaluation of results,etc.(4)Implementation of senior high school geography research travel activities.In line with the new research travel case design and the work arrangement of the teaching school,the school-based research activity was carried out again,and the process and result evaluation were carried out on the students in time.Students’ feedback is good,and certain research results have been achieved.In addition,the deficiencies in the activities also bring some inspirations for the subsequent research: to improve the autonomy of students in research;Strengthen the training and guidance for students before they graduate school;We should also pay attention to the integration of disciplines,establish a multidisciplinary research teacher team,and promote the development of students’ ability to transfer and apply knowledge of different disciplines.
