| In November 2016,the Ministry of Education of China, along with 10 other departments, issued the "Opinions on Promoting Study-tour in Primary and Secondary Schools"(hereinafter referred to as "Opinions"),emphasizing the importance of study-tour in education and teaching, and considering it an efficient method that combines practical education. With the constant promotion of social development,study-tours,as an educational form that helps cultivate students’ innovative thinking and abilities,is gaining more and more attention and recognition. At the same time, government departments in our country strongly support the development of the tourism industry, encourage tourism enterprises to innovate and develop tourism products actively, these factors have collectively promoted the development of study-tours in China. The integration of education and tourism can enrich students’ educational experience, increase students’ learning enthusiasm and participation, and thus study-tours have gained wide recognition and support from society.Six years have passed since the "Opinions" were issued.Under the guidance of various new policies,study-tour bases and primary schools are gradually promoting the development of study-tour courses. The course content is gradually enriched, and the organization and management are getting more robust. However, how well study-tour courses are implemented, the experiences encountered in the implementation process, the difficulties faced, and how to evaluate them, these practical issues need in-depth research. This paper aims to establish a complete evaluation indicator system based on the study-tour policy proposed in the "Opinions," evaluate the specific implementation needs of the study-tour from the perspective of course analysis, and construct a comprehensive primary school study-tour course quality evaluation system,in order to provide strong support for promoting high-quality development of primary school study-tour courses and industry market. This paper uses the Kirkpatrick Model to comprehensively evaluate study-tour curriculums.Based on the reaction level of the Kirkpatrick Model,we can obtain students’ satisfaction with curriculum content, teaching methods, and teaching environment.Based on the learning level,we can obtain students’ knowledge, skills, and attitude improvements in the study-tour.Based on the behavior level,we can determine whether students can apply what they learned in the study-tour to real life and study.Based on the results level,we can assess the contribution of the study-tour to the school’s educational goals. The evaluation of these four levels covers aspects such as curriculum satisfaction, knowledge learning, behavior change, and final effect, making the evaluation results more comprehensive and in-depth,and can also identify deficiencies in the design, implementation, and effect of study-tour curriculums, providing a strong basis for improving curriculums. Therefore, this paper establishes secondary indicators based on the four levels of the Kirkpatrick Model, extracts nodes and encodes them based on in-depth interviews with primary school teachers and parents, and finally obtains a curriculum quality evaluation system covering the implementation process of primary school study-tour curriculums with 4 first-level indicators,6 secondary indicators, and 18 tertiary indicators. Then, through expert opinions,we use the Analytic Hierarchy Process to determine the weight of each indicator.Based on this,by selecting the study-tour curriculum of the primary school in the Tianfu New District of Chengdu for the application of the quality evaluation model, using the Fuzzy Comprehensive Evaluation Method,we obtain a total score of 3.5033 for the study-tour curriculum of the primary school in Tianfu New District. The main problems currently include: lack of appropriateness in study-tour curriculum design, poor environment and management of study-tour bases, tutors’ abilities need to be improved, poor learning and practical abilities of students in the study-tour,poor behavior performance of students in the study-tour,and the study-tour is somewhat insufficient in stimulating students’ interest and love for learning. To promote the sustainable development of primary school study-tour curriculums, this paper proposes relevant suggestions based on these problems: strengthen the design of curriculum content, optimize the environment of study-tour bases, form a professional tutor team, and enhance communication and exchanges between all parties. |
