Communication semiotics discusses the phenomena of representational behaviour and communication in human society and culture, focusing on the symbolic communication of various cultural matters in society and culture;self-awareness is part of social psychology, which explores the cultural expression of individual consciousness in terms of self-perception and social perception.By linking communication semiotics with social psychology and extending the study of self-awareness from a symbolic perspective,it is possible to see the individual dynamics and social structure of self-awareness symbols. In the development of traditional Chinese rural society, cultural expressions from the female perspective are often neglected.Discussing the dissemination of cultural symbols from the perspective of female self-consciousness,discussing the various types of symbols that female self-consciousness has condensed into in cultural expressions, embodying rural female self-cognition and social cognition in the form of symbolic dissemination, the study of these female self-consciousness symbolic cultural matters is one of the more The study of these symbolic cultural matters of women’s self-awareness is one of the more interesting topics in communication semiotics and can further deepen the theoretical practice of communication semiotics.Based on the above theoretical inquiry, this paper focuses its attention on the research related to the dissemination of local female self-awareness symbols, taking the female self-awareness symbols of Longjing Village in Qingyan Town,Huaxi District,Guiyang City,Guizhou Province as the research object, with communication semiotics theory as the main focus, combined with social psychology related theories, and using qualitative research methods such as literature, field research and oral history research to Analysis.Longjing Village is a village with a long history of more than 600 years. It has excellent natural conditions, rich cultural heritage, simple villagers and rich folklore activities.Since the implementation of the rural revitalisation strategy, the area has undergone radical changes. The increasingly affluent economic conditions have also brought a different lifestyle to the people who have grown up here for generations. What kind of symbolic expressions have these self-awareness transformations produced? How did these symbolic expressions influence who and how did they shape the culture of contemporary rural society? This is the focus of this paper. The author will attempt to sort out and summarise the characteristics of the symbolic expressions of female self-consciousness in Longjing village and analyse their changing trends in the development of rural society,in order to explore the current status of the symbolic self-consciousness of contemporary rural women and its deeper cultural connotations. The study is divided into four parts: firstly, the symbolic picture of Longjing village is discussed, basically introducing the development status, folk customs and the current situation of female survival in Longjing village;secondly, the symbolic female self-consciousness in Longjing village is analysed semiologically, based on its symbolic characteristics, and the symbolic self-cognition,self-control and self-experience of female self-consciousness in Longjing village are analysed according to the Peirce’s symbolic trichotomy. The content of the symbolic female self-consciousness in Longjing village is analysed again, based on the theory of "I in the mirror",mainly divided into the enlightened self-identity perception, the changing external evaluation, and the self-perception in the media;finally, the three aspects of individual influence, group influence, and social influence are analysed. The impact of the dissemination of symbolic female self-awareness on different subjects is analysed in three aspects: the confrontation between tradition and the times,self-reflection and self-recognition in local female self-awareness,as well as the symbolic impact brought about by symbolic rural female self-awareness,the cultural identity of the in-group and the cultural heritage of rural society. The study finds that the dynamism displayed by women in Longjing village in the development of local rural society is reflected in the symbols that characterise their self-cognition,self-control and self-experience in their self-awareness,as well as in the dynamic process of their self-awareness construction. These self-consciousnesses are expressed symbolically in the development of rural society, with varying degrees of communicative impact on individuals, outsiders, internal groups and society. The changing information from outsiders collides and confronts with the traditional information that has taken root within them, but while they adapt to the development of rural society through self-reflection and self-awareness,they also promote and spread the traditional cultural information of rural society. Therefore, the symbolic female self-awareness in Longjing village shows a changing trend of both confrontation and intermingling during the development of rural society, and is a microcosm of contemporary female self-awareness in rural areas,as well as a microcosm of female self-awareness symbols co-constructing the cultural transmission of national society.
