Study On The Influence Of Father’s Participation In Childcare On Children’s Social Development And Countermeasures

For a long time,mother has become the main teacher of family education,resulting in the serious lack of father’s role,and the social phenomenon of "bereaved childbearing" has frequently erupted.In May 2021,we reviewed and adopted the document "Open Policy for Three Children" to optimize the fertility policy.The Law of the People’s Republic of China on the Promotion of Family Education was promulgated and implemented on January 1,2022.These all mean the importance and necessity of father’s participation in childcare.Therefore,the purpose of this study is to explore the impact and mechanism of father’s participation in childcare on children’s social development,with a view to providing empirical support for father’s participation in promoting children’s social development in an all-round way,and providing educational countermeasures for home co-education.The research of this paper is mainly carried out from the following three aspects:father’s participation in childcare,children’s sense of security and children’s social development.The fathers of 3-6-year-old children were investigated with the "Father Participation in Parenting Scale","3-6-year-old Children’s Sense of Safety Scale" and "Children’s Social Development Scale(the third edition)".A total of 338 questionnaires were distributed and 328 valid questionnaires were recovered.The results showed that there was a significant positive correlation between children’s social development and father’s participation in childcare and children’s sense of security;There is a significant positive correlation between father’s participation in childcare and children’s sense of security.Father’s participation in childcare affects children’s social development by affecting children’s sense of security,that is,children’s sense of security plays an intermediary role between father’s participation in childcare and children’s social development.Conclusion: The active participation of fathers in childcare can improve children’s social development,and can also enhance children’s social development by improving their sense of security.According to the results of this study,the following suggestions are put forward:first,improve the concept of father’s participation in childcare,build the environment for father’s participation in childcare,and strengthen the guidance of methods to improve father’s participation in childcare;Secondly,for children with low sense of security,implement security intervention,cultivate good teacher-child relationship,and promote the development of security;Finally,we should advocate the multi-child open policy,create a multi-child family atmosphere,and build a good family environment atmosphere through the adoption of democratic parenting methods,and ultimately promote the social development of children.
