Practical Research On Social Work Intervention To Relieve Senior High School Students’ Test Anxiety

With the change of learning environment,the deepening of course difficulty,the aggravation of learning tasks,the increasing competitive pressure and other reasons,some students find it difficult to adapt for a while after entering the high school learning stage,and there are cases of exam anxiety.For most senior high school students,they will encounter the problem of test anxiety in the process of learning.Maintaining moderate anxiety can promote their development into a driving force for learning.If they do not intervene in the test anxiety generated in learning,it will easily bring troubles to students’ test performance,and even cause psychological problems,which will cause great resistance to students’ study life.Many students suffer from insomnia because they can’t handle anxiety correctly,and even suffer from mental illness and other physiological symptoms.In recent years,news about high school students’ depression and suicide has emerged one after another.Therefore,it is necessary for school social workers,schools and society to attach great importance to this issue.This paper explores and analyzes the present situation and influencing factors of test anxiety,and uses social work methods to help senior high school students gradually alleviate test anxiety,better adapt to high school learning and face the college entrance examination correctly,and promote their healthy growth.In this study,the students from four senior high schools in Q city were taken as the research objects,and the clients were investigated by using the test anxiety questionnaire and the test anxiety self-rating scale,so as to understand the basic situation and overall anxiety level of the high school students surveyed in this city.After that,SPSS was used to analyze and process the survey data.The results showed that the test anxiety of girls was more significant than that of boys in gender.In terms of school types,students in key high schools are more likely to feel test anxiety than students in ordinary high schools;In terms of grade distribution,the anxiety of students in grade two is much higher than that of students in other two grades;In the place of origin,students from rural areas are also more likely to feel nervous and anxious during exams.On this basis,it is analyzed that the causes of high school students’ test anxiety come from personal cognitive evaluation,test-taking skills,family,school,society and many other aspects.According to cognitive behavioral theory and ecosystem theory,this study used social work methods to provide individual and group services to the service objects in need.After the intervention of social workers,the service objects were evaluated,and it was found that social work methods did have some effect on relieving the test anxiety of high school students.
