The Influence Of Historical Nihilism On The Values Of College Students And Its Countermeasures

The 20 th Party Congress has sounded the trumpet of a new journey and China has entered a new stage of development,but this has also provided new "creative inspiration" for historical nihilism,which is often active in the field of history and often acts on major historical points and events.Contemporary college students grow up in the era of peace,with shallow social experience,values in the process of shaping,weak discernment of complex social reality,and diversity.The historical nihilism trend,with its compulsive nature,tries to distort history and deny reality with the help of the centenary of the founding of the Party and the 20 th Party Congress and other major historical points,so as to make college students confused in thought and theoretical confusion,cause conceptual strife,and then dismantle socialist ideology.The development of college students’ values goes through the process of "knowledge,emotion,intention,and action",and historical nihilistic thinking takes advantage of this process to negatively affect college students’ value perception,value emotion,value belief,and value performance.Through research and case analysis,it is found that historical nihilistic thinking mainly harms the political,cultural,historical and personal values of college students.The author further analyzes the reasons for the influence,which are reflected in four aspects: the severe and complicated domestic and foreign environment faced by college students,the shortcomings of new media becoming a hotbed for the spread of historical nihilistic thinking,the highly concealed and confusing nature of historical nihilistic thinking,and the new changes in the characteristics of college students’ thoughts and behaviors.Combining with the analysis of the causes,the author proposes strategies to deal with the influence of historical nihilistic thinking on college students’ values in four dimensions: political,cultural,historical and moral,from the state,colleges and universities,individual students and society in turn..This study not only helps the state,society,colleges and universities and college students to understand the inner process of historical nihilism and its influence on college students’ values,but also provides a new perspective for thinking about history with the materialistic view of history;at the same time,it can help college students to establish correct and scientific values,and promote colleges and universities to cultivate new generations who can take up the responsibility of national rejuvenation.
