| Social morality is the minimum moral requirements that people should abide by in public life and interaction,and is an important element of civic moral construction,the fundamental purpose of which is to safeguard the public interest and public order.Social morality reflects both the moral quality of the individual and the spiritual civilization of society.College students are an important group in the construction of civic morality.Their correct awareness and concepts of social morality play a guiding role in moral practice,play a vital role in promoting campus civilization and maintaining social stability,and have irreplaceable value in promoting the construction of socialist ideology and morality and spiritual civilization.Universities should make good use of the second classroom in order to play the role of moral education.Public interest student organizations are effective carriers of moral construction for university students,broadening the channels of education and stimulating the vitality of education.Public interest student organizations have the characteristics of public welfare,facing the university and society to carry out public welfare activities,is an important platform to cultivate the comprehensive quality and practical ability of college students.This study begins with a description of the background and significance of the research,a review and summary of research on public interest organizations and social ethics,and an explanation of the research ideas and methods.The core concepts are defined and the theoretical basis for the cultivation of social justice by public interest student organizations is discussed.Secondly,an empirical analysis was conducted on the cultivation of social civic virtue by public interest student organizations.In this study,University of H was chosen as an example to investigate the social civic virtues of students participating in public interest student organizations,and data were obtained through questionnaires and interview surveys.The study found that,firstly,university students who participated in public interest student organizations performed better in terms of social ethics;secondly,there were significant differences in social ethics between university students of different genders,grades and types of majors studied;thirdly,the frequency of participation in public interest student organizations had a significant difference in social ethics;the number of participation in public interest student societies had a significant positive impact on social ethics;and the type of activities involved in public interest student organizations and university students’ social ethics were significantly related.Further research reveals that there are still some problems in the cultivation of social ethics by public interest organizations,including the unclear motivation of university students to participate in altruism,the need to further standardize the management and operation mechanism of public interest associations,and the lack of attention by universities to the role of public interest associations as a vehicle to cultivate social ethics.The study also explores the causes of these problems in terms of individual students,public interest associations,universities and the external social environment.In turn,it proposes an appropriate path for public interest organizations to cultivate social morality,including deepening the guidance of students’ ideology and values,constructing an institutional mechanism for public interest organizations to cultivate social morality,strengthening the support of universities for public interest student organizations,and efficiently integrating and utilizing social resources. |
