| Online purchasing is becoming significant to consumers as the Internet of Things age develops.College students are one of the key demographics for internet shopping, and due to their open consuming ideologies, pursuit of fashion, and diverse aesthetic standards, they engage in frequent buying and produce an alarming volume of secondhand goods. There are currently comparatively few pertinent psychological studies on the aforementioned topics, and the causes of decision-making behavior are not sufficiently explored. In order to find a better way to increase the motivation of college students to participate in recycling, this paper examines the behavioral effects of college students’ participation in different recycling situations and explores the cognitive processing of college students’ decision evaluation by using event-related potential techniques from psychology, behavior and cognitive neuroscience. The most realistic decision-making mental activities of college students are explored. This paper divides emotional situations—the initiating paradigm for evoking emotions—into positive information situations and negative information situations, and it divides motivational strategies into public good motivation and benefit motivation. Both of these divisions are based on emotion theory and motivation theory. Then, using E-Prime2.0software,a behavioral experiment was constructed. The experiment discovered that receiving public welfare incentives is more likely to improve college students’ willingness to recycle and participate in recycling behavior under different information situations;receiving positive information is easier to improve college students’ willingness to recycle and participate in recycling behavior under different incentive strategies.ERPs results: In the early stage about 250 ms after the presentation of the stimulus, the subjects would devote more efforts to paying attention to and perceiving the information situation, which showed the impact of the information situation; At about 300 ms after the presentation of the stimulus, the effects of information situations and incentive strategies were manifested, mainly reflected in the participants’ ability to classify the event results as good and bad,and to classify incentive strategies as good and bad under different information situations. Finally,in view of the problems existing in the recycling of waste clothing in W universities, countermeasures and suggestions are proposed. |
