In order to realize the fundamental purpose of education and deeply implement "cultivate people through virtue",the new round of curriculum reform gradually transforms from "knowledge based" to "quality based",and the focus of education also turns to focus on the comprehensive quality of students to solve practical problems and adapt to the development of The Times on the basis of mastering basic knowledge and skills.In this transformation,subject-critical competence has become an important breakthrough point--not only written into the curriculum standards,but also implemented in the new gaokao evaluation system.As an important part of the key ability,the ability of historical inquiry requires students to independently discover problems or put forward historical views,interpret,analyze,judge and summarize historical information,solve problems generated in the process of demonstration and inquiry,and form a more comprehensive and systematic historical understanding.This paper starts from the cultivation of senior high school students’ historical inquiry ability,defines the core concept of "historical inquiry ability",and uses relevant pedagogical theories to guide its cultivation practice.In order to understand the current situation of senior high school students’ historical inquiry ability,questionnaire survey and teacher interview were conducted in Fuzhou and Shantou.By referring to the goals and requirements of the college entrance examination for students,the paper analyzes the existing problems in training and designs training programs to improve students’ historical inquiry ability.The cultivation of historical inquiry ability is not accomplished overnight,but runs through the whole course of teaching,activities,homework,examination and social practice.Classroom teaching is the main way to explore the specific connotation of historical inquiry ability,while activities,homework and examination are essential links to cultivate and evaluate historical inquiry ability.This paper tries to explain how to cultivate students’ awareness of problems and improve their ability of judgment,analysis,demonstration and inquiry by means of the above mentioned ways,so as to form a more systematic and comprehensive understanding of history.Finally,the paper reflects on the practical effect and puts forward relevant training suggestions.This article innovation lies in relying on the evaluation system of college entrance examination in recent years,history research results such as core accomplishment and key ability,break through in the past only focused on the classroom teaching research,on the basis of investigation of the defects in the middle school students,targeted to join history inquiry activity,open operation and test for joint training,promote students’ ability to ascend,and literacy cultivation.In the end,the author puts forward some reflective suggestions based on the practical results,hoping to provide feasible ideas for the cultivation of historical inquiry ability in the future.
