Reading is a basic social activity of human society, which is also a main cognitive styles of students as the main learning subjects.Reading ability is the foundation of students’ learning ability, which plays a decisive role in the lifelong learning. In the process of history teaching, the history reading ability training of high school students is the inevitable requirement of global information society, is the inevitable requirement of new curriculum reform, is the need of the high school students develop their own capabilities, and is also the requirements of the history curriculum standard and the characteristics of history.This paper consists of introduction, three chapters and the conclusion.The introduction part introduces the research reason of this paper from the social background,the characteristics of senior high school students’ development, the subject characteristics and the idea of the new curriculum reform. At the same time, the introduction proposed research ideas and research methods through literature review and the analysis of the research results.The first chapter introduces the connotation of history reading ability, defines the concept of the history reading ability, and analyzes the significance of culture history reading ability from two aspects of students and teachers.The second chapter analyzes the current situation of culture history reading ability of high school students, which mainly through the methods of questionnaire and classroom observation. The factors are divided into two aspects, subjective factors and objective factors. The subjective factors mainly refer to subject status and the students which including the reading interest and habits of reading, reading motivation and reading emotion and will, reading attention. The objective factors refers to the influence of family, school and the society.The third chapter discusses the suggestion of improving history reading ability of high school students from three aspects. The suggestion include:stimulate interest in reading and guid reading motivation, master some reading skills and use appropriate reading strategies which includes reading cognitive strategies,reading control strategies and reading migration strategy.The conclusion of this paper is a summary, which points out the shortcomings of this study,and clear the direction in the future to continue to explore...
