With the deepening development of globalization,the cooperation between China and Russia in various fields has become increasingly close.Since the Chinese language was incorporated into the Russian national education system in 2019,the appeal and influence of the Chinese language in all parts of Russia has increased significantly.In Vladivostok,the Far East region of Russia,Chinese has attracted more and more students and parents’ attention,and Chinese teaching is gradually extending and developing to primary and secondary schools.In view of this,this study takes Chinese learners in primary and secondary schools in Vladivostok as the research object,uses the methods of literature,classroom observation,case analysis and semi-structured interview to conduct a systematic study of the development of Chinese language teaching in primary and secondary schools in Vladivostok and Confucius Institute,analyzes the current situation of Chinese language teaching in primary and secondary schools and puts forward corresponding suggestions.The main research contents are as follows:First of all,this article analyzes the history and development advantages of Chinese language teaching in Vladivostok,and finds that Vladivostok is an important region for the development of Chinese language teaching in Russia,which is of great research value.Secondly,it explores and analyzes the basic situation of primary and secondary education in Vladivostok from the aspects of educational system,teaching objectives,and curriculum settings,laying the foundation for research on the development of Chinese language teaching in the region;At the same time,based on the author’s teaching practice and survey findings,a systematic analysis of the current situation of Chinese language teaching in primary and secondary schools in Vladivostok and Confucius Institute was conducted,and an in-depth exploration of the current situation of Chinese language teaching in primary and secondary schools in the region was conducted from multiple perspectives such as teaching teachers,curriculum settings,teaching content,teaching facilities,textbook selection,and learners.The development characteristics were analyzed based on relevant data.Finally,based on the investigation and research in this paper,the achievements and problems in the development of Chinese language teaching in primary and secondary schools in Vladivostok are summarized.Taking the development of Chinese language teachers’ teaching ability as the foothold,and aiming at the problems existing in the current development,it is proposed to attach importance to the development of teachers’ professional skills and optimize the training mode of local Chinese language teachers;make overall planning and design for Chinese language teaching,adjust the types of Chinese language courses;improve the Chinese language teaching environment and flexibly use teaching tools;fully utilize the advantages of Confucius Institutes and integrate Chinese language teaching resources.With a view to providing reference and thinking for the development of Chinese language teaching in primary and secondary schools in Russia and Vladivostok,and promoting the spread and development of Chinese language teaching in primary and secondary schools in Vladivostok.In recent years,relevant research on Russian Chinese language teaching has mostly focused on universities,while Chinese language research in primary and secondary schools lacks integrity.This article hopes to provide thinking and suggestions for Chinese language teaching in primary and secondary schools overseas and in various regions of Russia through the author’s teaching practice and investigation in Vladivostok,and promote the development and improvement of international Chinese language teaching in primary and secondary schools.
