| The high-quality development of higher education is not only to meet the needs of economic and social development,but also the need for universities to pursue high-quality development.Since the higher education has entered the stage of popularization development,the main contradiction of higher education has been transformed into the contradiction between people’s increasing demand for high-quality higher education and the unbalanced and insufficient development of higher education.As an important part of higher education,the development of local colleges and universities has important theoretical and practical significance to improve the quality of higher education in China.This paper focuses on the theme of high-quality development of local colleges and universities,and follows the basic idea of “discovering problems,raising problems,analyzing problems and solving problems”.Taking W University as a case,the main research methods are literature research method,case study method and survey research method.The problems and causes in the high-quality development of local colleges and universities are analyzed,and on this basis,relevant implementation strategies for high-quality development of local universities are proposed,trying to provide reference significance for local colleges and universities to promote high-quality development.This paper is divided into five chapters.The first chapter is the introduction,in which the reason for selecting the topic of this paper is discussed,the purpose and significance of the study,ideas and methods are described,and a literature review of relevant domestic and international studies is conducted.Chapter two provides an overview of the theoretical basis of high-quality development of local colleges and universities in the popularization stage.First,defining the concepts of popularization of higher education and high-quality development of local colleges and universities,second,outlining the theoretical basis of this paper.In the third chapter,the current situation of high-quality development of local colleges and universities in the stage of popularization is analyzed.By taking W University as an example,the current situation of high-quality development of W University is analyzed through questionnaire and interview survey specifically in the dimensions of talent cultivation,scientific research,social service,cultural heritage and innovation,and internationalization.Chapter four analyzes the problems and causes of high-quality development of local colleges and universities at the stage of popularization,and finds that the problems of high-quality development of local colleges and universities include poor local government policy protection,unsound guarantee mechanism for talent cultivation,and relatively weak level of scientific research and social service capacity,relatively weak capacity for cultural inheritance and innovation,and the low degree of internationalization,and analyzes the causes of the problems from the levels of government,society and schools.Chapter five combines the problems in the high-quality development of W universities and puts forward the implementation strategies for high-quality development of local colleges and universities,that is,sounding policies and regulations and external protection system to optimize the environment for high-quality development;increasing the implementation of “quality projects” to build a solid foundation for high-quality development;improving the interaction between the university and the local area to accelerate the transformation of high-quality scientific research achievements;innovating the mode of cultural inheritance to thicken the new advantages of high-quality development;promoting openness to the outside world and broaden the global vision of high-quality development.Finally,summarize and reflect on the whole study,and provide an outlook on the follow-up research. |
