| New-era university students are a valuable reserve of talents for national construction,representing the hope and future of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.As an outstanding group receiving higher education,university students in the new era of socialism with Chinese characteristics have grown up.However,due to their lack of social experience,some students exhibit weaker coping abilities when facing setbacks.In recent years,phenomena such as suicide,harm to others,wasting time,and squandering life among university students have been frequently seen,arousing widespread attention from the society and academic circles in the new era.The reasons for the disregard of life among new-era university students are complex,among which the lack of education in life consciousness is one of the important factors that cannot be ignored.Although life consciousness education in China has made some progress,it still faces problems such as insufficient attention and unclear effectiveness,and urgently requires effective improvement measures.Life consciousness education for new-era university students is the fundamental task of colleges and universities to cultivate students with good moral character and an important component of higher education.Therefore,how to correctly understand and deal with the problems in life consciousness education for new-era university students and how to use effective strategies to teach them to scientifically understand life and improve the quality of life have become urgent problems to be solved in Chinese colleges and universities.This article carefully reviews the research literature on life consciousness education for new-era university students at home and abroad,deeply excavates the theoretical foundation,and clarifies and analyzes the concepts of life consciousness and life consciousness education.It analyzes the characteristics of new-era university students and the features of life consciousness education.From the three aspects of understanding natural life consciousness education,cultivating social life consciousness education,and strengthening spiritual life consciousness education,it explains the main content of life consciousness education for university students,laying a theoretical foundation for subsequent research.Based on Marxist views on life,General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important discourse on "life first," and Adams’ theory of setback education,in order to understand the current status of life consciousness education for new-era university students,a questionnaire design and interview outline were formulated from four dimensions of subject,object,intermediary,and environment.The most representative samples were selected for investigation,and the main problems were summarized,and their causes were analyzed from four dimensions of society,school,family,and individual,and the following improvement measures were proposed: enhancing the concept of life consciousness education for university teachers;cultivating new-era university students’ correct views on life;innovating methods and content of life consciousness education for new-era university students;and creating an atmosphere of life consciousness education for newera university students. |
